A Long and Awesome year

I have been so busy for the longest time. Who is not ever busy, right..? 😉

I certainly did not avoid opportunities to obtain some new heels though. 😉

I have been working on photographing more of the heels from the deep past. I have learned, while taking these pictures, I used to purchase poor fitting heels or, I have been growing. 😉

Never the less, lets keep pressing for the wonderful warm weather! There are a few style shots in this post and I will admit, it is not always the best choice. 😉

So I say lets Spring on! 😉

These have become a go-to pair of fishing heels as they are quick and easy to get on and are very light weight. I got these from DSW in the spring of 2015.

These are a great comfortable pair of Mix No. 6 single strap vamp wedge heels also from DSW. I always like ankle straps and these certainly fit the bill.

Another pair of Mix No. 6 from DSW. They are a patent black, open toe d’orsay. A very pleasing style to me for sure; comfortable, attractive and sexy. 😉

Ok, another pair of fishing heels perhaps..? Well they can be; these great espadrilles are a comfortable wedge with an elastic instep strap. They had them in a tan as well and I may have to find them on a clearance rack at a DSW. 😉

These BCBGirls wedges are in patent black. Love the cutout in the wedge. I found these on eBay a couple years ago.

These are another great eBay find a few years ago. I like the orange suede uppers. They are a fun summer shoe not only for the color but also the cork heel and platform.

These are a laser cut wedge from DSW. I found them on clearance for just over ten dollars. The material under the laser cut is silver. Looks great when in the sun. They are made by Diba.

An aquisiton from eBay about 10 years ago. These are a brown T-strap wood wedge by Massimo. The wood is not real and other than the small sizing, they are comfortable even on my larger foot. I always go back and forth about getting rid of them but once in a while they are on the boat with me. 😉

These are a fun sandal with patent black uppers and a gold heel. I love straps and slingbacks are just awesome. This puts them together in a unique way. Found these on eBay about 10 years ago, made by Highest Heel.

A cork wedge sandal by Pulse featuring a bright yellow patent upper. I like the brightness of the yellow! Found these on eBay as well, about 8 years ago. I have had these fishing once or twice. They are a little snug with a non adjustable slingback strap. If it was a real problem I could take them to the cobbler and have the elastic replaced for more room. 😉

Here are a unique pair; they are called a ballet boot, in patent black and with a lock on the ankle strap. I have worn these 4 times, including these pictures. I tried walking in them once; 3 steps and I could not go further. These won the round of not permitting walking. I applaud those who can do it as it is certainly a skill to have. Made by Devious; I obtained these from eBay about fifteen years ago. 😉

A set of heels I also cannot walk in but love them for there looks and color. I also have some flats similar to these and I use them for slippers; they are a patent purple with those same buckles on the vamp. These are by The Highest Heel, found on eBay about 15 years ago. There are buckles on the heel cap and the vamp, a matte purple and are D’orsay style.

These sexy pair of Pleaser heels have a three strap upper and stud embellishments. A patent black and very fun. I wore these to a bar party once for eight hours; never sitting down. They are very comfortable; obtained from eBay about 12 years ago.

Another eBay find about 14 years ago; these have a jersey net covering a metallic pink upper and a pink heel. A shorter heel than I like but they were a great deal. A little snug on my foot but nothing to bad. They are made by Janis Nicole… I think. 😉

A favorite style are these clear platform heels with a double ankle strap; silver in color and obtained from eBay about 13 years ago. Very comfortable and a little stretched out. They were used by a drag queen for shows and were surprisingly in pretty good shape. Made by Sunset Strip. 😉

These next two pairs of mules have a clear upper; one in black and the other in gold. As they fit my foot on the bottom, those plastic uppers were not intended for a male foot; at least not my foot… I purchased them from eBay about 15 years ago. As they were so tight, I did not get a chance to wear them often. A very stable design however. They do not have a brand name on them so I am not sure of the manufacturer.

One of my first pair of thigh high boots; a patent red and feature a clear heel. I like the stretchy upper as it conforms to ones leg. Difficult to get them on but the stockings helped. I have larger legs as well which was part of the issue. These were made by Pleaser and purchased from eBay about 12 years ago.

Oh another favorite for spring time are these floral print platform sandals having an ankle tie and a single strap vamp. Very bright and comfortable, these were obtained from Frederick’s of Hollywood about 16 years ago.

These are a ankle strapped sandal in patent black featuring a square heel (Not seen well here). These Pleaser heels were obtained  from eBay about 14 years ago. Very simple and sexy. 😉

Another great pair of heels by Pleaser are these strappy sandals featuring stud embellishments on the heel cap straps as well as the vamp. Patent black fits the tough look well; obtained from eBay about 15 years ago. 😉

These mirrored beauties are by Colin Stuart. Found on eBay about 15 years ago for a good price. The strappy upper is covered in little square mirrors, together with the silver, color changing instep and the clear heel makes these just super fun to wear and look at. For my foot, the instep cross straps were a little tight and so they sat for a long time while the mirrors started to fall off. Wish they fit better.

Here are a fun pair by Newport News the Mrs. got for me about 13 years ago. The ankle ties are fabric as well as the vamp. The animal print wedge is just awesome. 😉 Not always the easiest to slip into as it takes some finesse but are comfortable no doubt. 😉

Another one of my favorite finds from Frederick’s of Hollywood; featuring a double ankle strap, these single strap vamp, clear platform heels in gold are just perfect to attract attention. Extremely comfortable and cannot see them ever go out of style. 😉

These are a wonderful bright blue strappy sandal by Frederick’s of Hollywood. They have grommets on all the straps as well as the bow embellishment on the vamp. Found these about 13 years ago.

These are the very first heels I wore out. They are a two strap suede mule by Frederick’s of Hollywood. Obtained them about 16 years ago. These are very comfortable and fun. 😉

These strappy sandals can also be considered cage style. The best fitting as they tie entirely from the vamp to the ankle straps. Got these about 14 years ago and are by Frederick’s of Hollywood.

These are a cage style sandal in patent black by Frederick’s of Hollywood. Obtained about 14 years ago and feature a 5 inch heel. Extremely sexy and perfect for the parties. 😉

These are the second pair of heels I wore out. Wore them to the movies. 😉 These are by Frederick’s of Hollywood, obtained about 15 years ago; a black patent upper and featuring a silver X on the instep strap.

These were purchased from eBay about 12 years ago. These white satin mules have a clear vamp and diamond embellishments on the heels; also have the word sexy on the vamp. 😉

This pair of sandals have a satin vamp as well as satin ankle ties. The diamond buckle on the vamp was not in the best place for me as they rubbed a little but I attribute that to my male foot. 😉 Made by Anne Michelle and found on eBay about 12 years ago.

These are a pair of gladiator style, single vamp strap sandals in bright yellow by Frederick’s of Hollywood. They are easy to get into as the ankle strap has a zipper. Obtained these about 12 years ago.

A black two strap suede sandal by Frederick’s of Hollywood, obtained about 14 years ago. The suede started to shed and I wish the instep strap had a little more adjustment; other than that they were so comfortable and universal. 😉

A silver strappy mule by Frederick’s of Hollywood, obtained about 14 years ago. These were a little snug on my foot so I hardly wore them but they are a fun pair of summer heels. 😉

A sexy white platform sandal with mirror embellishments on the vamp and instep strap. The instep strap needed some elastic for a better fit for me but I am sure they would fit the ladies better. Obtained from eBay about 12 years ago, made by Jante.

These sexy patent black platform sandals are made by Pleaser. Obtained from eBay about 14 years ago. The vamp was always tight which deters me from wearing them often. All though they are very tall heels, they were very stable.

These are an eBay find about 13 years ago. A strappy sandals made by Tahany, in pink and feature a printed insole. Very fun for the summer. 😉

These Coup D’Etat slingback, pointed toe pumps have a patent pink toe cap and a tan printed upper. A shorter heel than I care for but they are cool looking. I am not all that fond of the long pointed toe with these but they are a bright a fun heel. Obtained from eBay about 13 years ago.

Another long pointed toe heel with a tie style ankle strap are these patent back closed toe heels by Frederick’s of Hollywood. I obtained these about 14 years ago. They were always a little narrow for me in the toe-box which is common with the pointer styles for me. 😉

These are another wonderful pair of Frederick’s of Hollywood heels, purchased about 14 years ago. A strappy mule in beige on a platform for extra comfort. The strap’s again were a little snug on these feet which prevented them from being worn often. 😉

These silver spaghetti strap ankle tied sandals are from Frederick’s of Hollywood and obtained about 14 years ago. I really liked the unique vamp which split at the big toe.Very fun and perfect for the summer. 😉

These are a purple snake print, ankle strap sandal by Studio C. I purchased them from eBay along with another pair in a gold color. Comfortable and attractive for sure. I obtained them about 12 years ago.

Another favorite and yes I have a lot of favorites, are these holographic open toed backless pumps. I so wish they fit better cause they are an awesome looking pair of heels. Obtained them from eBay about 14 years ago they are made by Ellie.

these are a silver sandal in a matte finish with a single strap vamp and a heel cap. The strap on these made them a less than desired fit. But they still look great. They are made by Frederick’s of Hollywood and obtained about 14 years ago.

Another pair by Newport News given to me by the Mrs. are these black suede tie-up, open toed pumps; very fun looking. A poor fit for my foot (once again the male thing). Received about 13 years ago. 😉

One of the rare times I obtained a pair of heels from Target; these Xhilaration velcro sandals have a matte finish, chunky heel and small platform. They were great fitting as the vamp was also a velcro adjustable strap. They were worn very often; obtained about 14 years ago. 😉

These were an eBay find and completely purchased for the appeal of the wood heel. These ankle tie-up sandals are a fabric upper with bead work on the vamp. Purchased about 14 years ago and made by Report (I think). The canvas was not a comfortable fit for me with these.

These split toe sandals are by Frederick’s of Hollywood. They are white, semigloss finish and have a small platform. If they were just a little more comfortable, I would be caught in a type of flip flops, I would find acceptable. 😉 Obtained these about 14 years ago.

These are a dull red, block heeled slingback pump by Sam & Libby, Found on eBay about 14 years ago and purchased cause of the extremely low price. The vamp was not a good fit for me and they are certainly not that attractive. Yes, I can admit that. 😉

These animal print, pointed to pumps have an elastic ankle strap and a clear section of material in the instep straps. They are by Frederick’s of Hollywood and obtained about 14 years ago.

An animal print open-toed pump by Newport News; not a good fit as you may see here. They are a nice looking shoe but not a good sizing for me. Obtained about 13 years ago.

These are a metallic green split toe sandal found on eBay about 14 years ago. They are a very attractive heel and fun color but not a great fit. I like the zipper detail and they did not like me. They cut in a little which resulted in them not being worn. Made by Renica .

Here are a pair of Worthington slingback, open-toe pumps in patent black with a pewter panel. Very attractive and slightly sexy. They fit well and were a great find on eBay about 12 years ago.

Another pair I would admit to not being attractive; not to say you might think differently, just not as appealing to me. A real cheap find on eBay about 14 years ago, these shoes are by Stefani and are a crocodile printed black patent upper with a long almond toe and slingback strap.

And finally for the conclusion of this post we have a sneaker inspired sandal by Bakers. Found on eBay about 11 years ago they have a velcro enclosure on the ankle strap and a single strap vamp. The fit was not the best or I would have worn them out a bit. 😉

I am getting closer to the end of the old and will only be featuring the new. 😉

I am very happy to be seeing so many people view my blog. I cannot thank you enough for all the support and fantastic comments. I also would like to extend a monument of thanks for the patience exhibited, waiting for this next post. Never know when I will be back but hopefully it is sooner than later.

The Eternal Wait

Here we are, the conclusion of February, the beginning of March and thinking “When is the warm weather going to start?” Perhaps the thoughts are a little more aggressive; “I have had enough of the ~bleep bleep~ cold!” 😉

How ever we express our displeasure with the winter temperatures we are all after the same thing; fun in the warm sun! 😉

Whether it is to conduct activities outside, wearing lighter cloths, dresses, skirts or to just enjoy the sun on our skin one thing certainly is on my mind… Heels! 😉 Yes, I am a little strange in that way. But here is the fun part; it is not only for me to wear them out more comfortably but to also see all the fantastic gals in their fabulous footwear as well. 😉

Took a little vacation earlier in the month of February and only brought along one pair of heels. I have a few photos of them in this post along with the others I have purchased recently; yes still with the shameful, poor conduct of purchasing more heels but I also have got through a few more pairs from the past.

To make room for the better and more recent styles, I have been collecting the heels I do not fit into well or do not find myself in the position of wearing, to pass them on to others. I will be selling some I am sure but many are just going to be handed out to the good will stores. I have given some to a friend of the family recently who happens to find it difficult obtaining heels to fit. Discovered this to be true even with the selections I offered. But some were found to be a good match. 😉

 

On with the display! Enjoy. 😉

 

First up are the most recent acquisition from DSW are these strappy tie up sandals in a mate black are by Jessica Simpson. I do not recall but these may have been on clearance as well. I ordered them on line. I wore them a few times while on our vacation earlier in February. Very comfortable heel and hope to get them out to dinner. The best part is the tie up which allows one to adjust the upper to fit your feet perfectly. 😉

 

 

These wedges by Steve Madden also from DSW are tan and black. The ankle strap has a velcro type closure and the cover of the wedges is a fabric. Certainly a fishing shoe this summer. I will admit I may have posted these before and I will further my admission to not checking to make sure. 😉

 

 

 

These sheer or mesh upper pumps have a gold rectangular shaped heel & gold bottom and a patent toe cap. Comfortable and sexy; most certainly an elegant shoe. I will wear them with jeans to dinner some day; they are an awesome find. I was worried at first thinking they would be to tight but they are comfortable. Obtained from DSW made by Two Lips. 😉

 

 

 

 

 

Found these in a local DSW and they come in some fun bright colors. These are by Mix No. 6; a nude platform pump. Slightly snug on me but not terrible. They have a unique pattern in the material; I was not able to get a decent shot depicting that however. A great Value as well; if I recall they were regular priced around $35.

 

 

Another DSW clearance item ordered from online are the Levity open toe Dorsey pumps in black and tan. The black is a smooth material where as the tan is a suede. A little snug around the toe box area on me but I find that ok so the shoe does not slip off while walking.

 

 

 

A Steve Madden Dorsey pointed toe pump that fits wonderfully! Love the cobalt blue to box; goes well with the snake skin texture of the heel cap. DSW sure gets a lot of my attention and when I can find a blue I like, I am going to have to get as much as I can. 😉

 

 

 

 

Found these Steve Madden Platform pumps on clearance in another local DSW. They have a quilted pattern and are comfortable. You may see a bit of loose stitching on one of the toe boxes; I think this was the reason for the clearance. I personally do not mind as they have no effect on the shoes. I like the semigloss finish on this particular style upper and black is always a good color. I felt I should try some of my legwarmers out while on my last job as the cold weather certainly was a good motivator. I think these went very well. 😉

 

 

 

 

 

My first pair of Material Girl heels ever. These patent nude sandals with an ankle strap was the discovery for this designer. They are comfortable and I do find them appealing. DSW online store was where I found them.

 

 

 

These are a pair of Spiky marbled blue open toe pumps with a bow embellishment by Herstyle. I found these on eBay. They look great, fit fine and feel extremely cheap when walking in them. They were very inexpensive on eBay and after this experience I am not sure I will purchase this brand again. A friend of the Mrs. sister loves them and I may hand them off to him.

 

 

Lastly on this post is a Christmas gift from the Mrs. this last season. By Pleaser are these purple platform pumps with an instep strap black, ribbon & frilly embellishments. The purple has these great pinstripes and I just love the look.

The End is Here

The end of another year. As we all ask; “Where did it go”? Well, it was not any faster than the last year, and it is never slower, as some days may feel. We get so busy the days seem to disappear quickly making the year suddenly come to an end. What is the down side..? We can miss the fun stuff or forget about the fun stuff we experienced. Well, I am here to bring the fun to the surface one last time before the year concludes. With that I also want to thank all of you who visit my blog. For those who choose to follow my blog and/or leave a comment, I offer an added amount of gratitude. I have been gaining confidence to go out in my heels and at times expose more of them in lieu of covering them up. More family members are aware of my desire to wear heels as well as some of the Mrs. friends.

I have obtained some more heels at the end of this year and that means I have not been doing a good job reducing my shopping. I may have to start finding heels I will not wear out and begin selling them on eBay. I am sure I will buy more 😉 but at least they will be in the hands of someone who will wear them.

Up first are a pair of Betsy Johnson’s from DSW. They have a fantastic blue hue not depicted well in a picture. The bottoms have a great powder blue color as well. I obtained these from out of town and when I checked out, the gentleman at the counter was disappointed I was taking the last pair in his size. A little satisfying to know they are well liked. Found them in the Mrs. size but the style is slightly different as they have one open side. I would love those as well but they are not in available in my size.

These are Steve Maddens from DSW. I had to return them as the vamp was to tight. You might be able to see that in the picture. They are a fantastic heels and I would have loved to keep them as I enjoy ankle straps and the color is great, but someone needs to enjoy them in public. 😉

Another pair of Steve Maddens from DSW. These have a very elegant sparkly back and heel cover. The satin material; I find often are very unforgiving and make for a stiff upper and a little snug. These were obtained a few years ago on clearance.

A great pair of almond toe suede pumps by Jessica Simpson; obtained about four years ago from DSW on clearance. They are very comfy. The Mrs. liked them. 😉

 A great pair of patent white strappy sandals by Jante. They have a clear platform and heel. I got these about nine years ago from eBay. This designer is hit and miss for me; the sizing seems to be sporadic. These fit very well and they are comfortable. 😉

A pair of boots I obtained this fall from DSW are these work boots by Dirty Laundry. They also had them in black. I have not worn them out other than to the air port yet. Very comfortable and although the heel is shorter than I like, I do like these. They will be good for shoveling light snow. Love the neon yellow fishnet socks. 😉

Again with my awesome socks, this time in some great heelless electric blue round toe pumps by Styluxe. I got these from eBay about three years ago. They are a little snug and I am hoping to get them stretched out so I can wear them out to dinner sometime. 😉

I obtained these strappy black and white platforms sandals by Jessica Simpson from DSW this fall. They are very comfortable and they look great with the white heel; I am hoping to wear them out to dinner soon. It is a little cold out but I enjoy heels enough to tough it out. 😉

These cork strappy platform sandals by Enzo Angiolini were obtained from eBay this fall. They had a double instep strap but I had to remove one so they would fit better. I have had to do this from time to time and only do it to heels I cannot return; so often it is on heels obtained from eBay. They are some great looking heels and I may get them out to dinner this next summer. 😉

Another acquisition from eBay are these BCBG Generation wedges with a white knot vamp. The straps are very soft and comfortable. These are going to be a shoe for the boat next summer. 😉

Another boat shoe are these wedges by Sketchers. They look like a nautical theme with the blue and white strip straps and the style of the sole and cork wedges. Love them and they are comfortable. The only thing I dislike is the difficulty putting them on. The straps are ribbon like; although comfortable it makes it necessary to use your hands to put them on. 😉

These platform sandals in a taupe upper with a wood heel and snake skin buckle straps, were obtained from eBay this fall. They are made by Circa Joan David Luxe. A fantastic deal for sure and I love all the details. The instep straps are a little tight but not to bad.

These black patent, red heel and animal print heel cap pumps are by Torrid. The heel cap and heel are a suede material. I obtained them from eBay for a great price. Very comfortable and they look fantastic. I have not had a lot of luck with the quality of Torrid shoes but these are not bad. 😉

I obtained these wood sculpted heels with a green strappy upper from eBay for an extremely good deal. They are unique and unusual. I think they are going to be another fishing shoe. They are made by Ashro.

I love orange and these open toe suede pumps with a wood stack heel are by Steve Madden. I got them from eBay late this summer. I have a similar pair by another designer but they are a little different. Some day I will have the nerve to wear them out. 😉

Another eBay purchase are these espadrille wedges with a denim sandal upper are from Calvin Klein. These are certainly a fishing shoe but I think they will go well with some jeans for dinner. 😉

I obtained these BCBG Generation wedges from eBay this fall. I like the rugged tread and the cork wedge. The nude vamp is great and with the additional color of the white ankle strap makes these very flashy and universal. I was a little leery about the insole but when I put them on, the look certainly is intriguing. 😉

These Pleaser open toe patent black heels have a red detail around the ankle strap, vamp and sole. I obtained these about ten years ago from eBay. They are going to need some repair as one of the elastic straps is starting to come loose. I think they are certainly one of the sexiest looking styles. 😉

These Zigi Soho heels in brown have a tie instep and ankle strap. The round toe is very comfortable. The platform and heel is a wood looking man made material. I wore these DSW finds to dinner this last fall.

THE FALL has FALL’N

It has officially arrived; yes you know it, I know it, we all know it. Fall is here! In some cases it is fantastic and in some cases it is not. How is it not, well if you are in Minnesota you know why; it gets cold, it starts to freeze, the snow starts to fall and seems like it never stops! The good stuff, well as minimal as it may be in the eyes of some, the color changes are fantastic.

An added not so fantastic thing is the change in attire; the skirts get longer and become pants, the high heel shoes get lower in height and eventually turn into boots. Sometimes the boots are not too bad and have a great heel. I say keep those awesome sexy high heel shoes out. Let’s be a little real here. Most often you go from door to door. As long as the snow is not falling, watch for ice & puddles and perhaps get dropped off close to the door. All will be fine! Here are some more of my collection and many new acquisitions. Yep, I have started buying more heels. I keep saying it; I need to slow that down for a while. 😉

These are a recent acquisition from eBay, I wore them fishing this last year as well as while working in the garage. Very comfy wedges in a unique blue. Made by Aerosoles. Have to point out this is one of my favorite pedi’s this year. 😉

These patent black sandals feature an awesome gold detail on the inside of the unusual shaped heels. I obtained these from eBay over 10 years ago. They are very comfy and sexy. Made by Delicious.

These are some black patent pumps with a section of mesh on the upper. Obtained from DSW this summer. Wore these to dinner a couple weeks ago. Loved them! Made by Zigi soho.

Obtained these Steve Madden cork wedges with a matte black upper from DSW this summer as well. Did not get them on the lake but I sure will next year. They have a crisscross elastic strap which makes them easy to get on and off while keeping a secure hold. The down side is they are a little tight and can reduce the circulation in the foot from time to time.

An eBay purchase earlier this year are these shimmery black pumps by Carlos. They have a unique fabric covering giving them this awesome look. It also makes it a little tough to get them clean as you may see in a couple photos. Very good find. 😉

Another eBay buy are these Snake skin open toe pumps by Dollhouse. They have some awesome embellishments on the heel cap area; rhinestones and pointed studs. They are a little tight which makes them a pair for short term wear only. 😉

These next heels by The Highest Heel Collection are a fantastic color blue not well captured in a picture. They have the bullet stud embellishments around the platform and vamp strap. Another purchase from eBay this summer; absolutely love these and will need to find a place to wear them often. 😉

This eBay find was astonishing; it is hard to believe I found these for such a great deal. These Coach wedge slides with athletic trim have an adjustable vamp with buckle detail. They are made of the maintenance free material used on some of their bags. Extremely comfortable. I have worn these to dinner a couple times as well as fishing. I will use these to the end of their life for sure. 😉

These are a pair of DexFlex by Dexter. They are a matte black upper with a patent toe cap. The heel is four inches even though they look shorter. A lot of cushion and the uppers are very flexible. They are however a little short in length and thus cause a bit of discomfort. A bargain on eBay and may have to go back. 😉

A fun find on eBay this last spring. I wore them to work for some of these pictures. These are a gold shimmery upper with velvet covering on the platform and heel. Very comfortable fit; they have a pattern on them and I am not sure if they were suppose to be there or if they just happened to develop from wear. These are by Forever. 😉

These are a pair of sling back open toe pumps in patent black by Bass. Certainly a great deal from eBay; I have many like this style but not by this designer. They run a little short on me making them just a little snug but nothing unmanageable. I would classify them as a lower quality heel but they still look nice. 😉

These are an open toe slingback pump with a unique shaped heel. Hard to capture it but it tappers in on the sides and appears as a blade. They are in a patent black and have a large buckle embellishment along with a little added edge detail on the open toe. Obtained them from eBay this summer for a great price. 😉

These are a pair of Michael by Michael Kors open toe pumps in patent black. Love the little button detail on the top of the heel back. A little snug as many of the Michael Kors pumps are for me but a great deal on eBay for me to excuse the slight discomfort. Wore these out to dinner to a place I had not worn heels before. Everyone loved them! 😉

These were an eBay purchase this late summer. A shimmery holographic pale gold slingback platform pump. They are by Christian Siriano. Who would have thought Payless would have some awesome heels like these. I may have to start looking more closely at there shoes. They may be going out to dinner someday. 😉

These vintage wood heel mules are by Coach. They have a bow tie detail on a pleated polka dot vamp. Another great find on eBay and certainly a favorite for running out to get the mail in. I always love wood heels! 😉

Yet another great find on eBay are these open toe block heel with a black satin upper and gold piping detail. I would say a little snug for me, but not to bad. This material is always less forgiving. These are by Christian Siriano.

These are a find from eBay I have been watching for a long long time; finally a winner! 😉 These are a keyhole toe slingback with giraffe print canvas uppers with cork covering the heels and platform. Very fun looking and exciting. I have not worn these out yet but might have to do a Halloween thing with them. They are by Tallulah Blu. 😉

The Summer that Was (Not)

The pains we have had this spring and summer here in Minnesota; Wanting so bad to have some nice weather, only to get some nice weather, sporadically!!! One day here, a couple days there, with rain and cold spells in the mix. It has been very trying on the patience!!! Every day off I have is a bad weather day, minimal fishing and reduced desire to leave the house, leaving me wearing heels into work most of the time. I did fall off the wagon and get a few new heels recently. I say good for me! 😉

Well, on with the show and hopefully we will get a stretch of nice HOT weather before the deep freeze. A couple things to look for; first the several fantastic pedicures and also some of the outfits I was wearing at the time. Several are scrubs but a few are suits and a few skirts along with some fun socks. Good summer to all!!! 😉

These are green cross strap sandals with a wood heel and some yellow detail stitching. Made by Colin Stuart and obtained from Ebay several years ago. Funny thing, from this photo shot, some glue on a strap failed and I was left with a choice of repair, toss them or modify them. I cut the strap off and matched the other shoe so now they have a single strap on the vamp. 😉

Here are a nude pair of espadrille platform sandals with an ankle strap and heel cap made by Torrid. A recent purchase from Ebay. I was always curious about this designers fit and found them to fit well. The shoe is a little flimsy which is a little disappointing but I still like them.

A coral ankle strap platform sandal by Newport News. The vamp and ankle strap are cord which do not give much so they do not stretch. I got these over ten years ago. They are fun but a little snug. I like the color and texture. The insoles are very lively with the pattern you can see around the toes and instep.

A lime green strappy sandal by Classique from Ebay several years ago. The heels is a little shorter than I care for but the color is cool and I like the style. A fun summer shoe for sure.

Another recent purchase from Ebay, these gold sparkly pumps by Forever have a velvet covered heel and platform. Very comfortable and a maybe for this weekends dinner heels. I am always happy to find a new designer which fits well. 😉

A pair of sexy heels I have had for at least twelve years, obtained from Ebay. These are by The Highest Heel. A strappy platform sandal with a silver heel embellished with rhinestones. They are going to be a pair I sell as the instep strap is fixed so it does not allow for a comfortable fit. It is a bummer as I really like these heels but someone else can sport them and show off there sexy appeal. 😉

An acquisition a few weeks ago from DSW, these Steve Madden wedges are very comfortable and are a great everyday versatile summer shoe. I like the color combination of tan and black, it just seems right. 😉 The velcro ankle strap allows for a perfect fit and the white stitching detail adds just a little flare although I think the pedi I am sporting adds a lot of flare. 😉

Here are one of the few pairs of a boot or booties I have. They are by Madden Girl, purchased at DSW about six years ago. I like the look they have with the zipper detail and the open toe. They lace up to give a good fit. For me the length of the shoe is not good as my toes are a little hung over. These are going to be passed on in a sale for sure. 😉

A great find on Ebay a few weeks ago, these Calvin Klein espadrille wedges have a denim upper. Very comfortable and fun. I have not worn a wedge out to dinner yet and these may go well with my attire as I always wear jeans when we go out. They will also do well on the boat when fishing. 😉

Certainly a sexy favorite of mine and unfortunately a poor fit for me are these strappy sandals in patent black from Frederick’s of Hollywood. They have a double ankle strap with a zip up back, a squared off toe box and a hourglass shaped vamp. I got these on clearance about eleven years ago. Another pair going to be sold. 😉

These fantastic platform sandals are a patent black with a slingback. Obtained from Ebay about twelve years ago, these Pleaser heels are for some serious fun. They are a little snug on me so I have to part with them as well.

I have said it before and I will say it again, I just love love love wood heels!!! These beauties have a great light wood color with a lucite blade heel and a clear vamp.. I have always had trouble with the plastic vamps; they start to tight, end up loose, and I am hanging my toes over the edge. That being said I will not ever part with these until I can no longer wear them. I got them from Ebay about ten years ago and they are made by Pleaser.

Another favorite pair of heels; these are by Jazzberry, a satin material giving a shimmery black, slingback open toe with a slight platform. The special thing about these is the ultra low cut vamp. A sexy look only a true heel fan can appreciate; well maybe not but I cannot say enough good things about that look. A very comfortable shoe; I got them at Burlington Coat Factory about ten years ago. I enjoy wearing them and I should wear them out some time. 😉

A pair of unique suede wedges with a almond toe and tie up wrap made by MIA. I go these from DSW about six years ago. Very comfy and sure can be hidden well… Not something I am to concerned about these days as I am more confident in wearing heels out but sometimes the gremlins surface. 😉

Again those wood heels! I have worn these often enough around the house the ankle strap is getting a little fatigued and may need repair. These sandals have a mat finished upper and a suede instep with a wide face heel. They are made by The Highest Heel; I got them from Ebay about ten years ago. Now that I think of it I have worn them fishing a time or two as well. 😉

These fun strappy wedges are by Fredericks of Hollywood, obtained about nine years ago. They have the wood I like and feature grommets on the straps. A comfortable and edgy heel to add some spice to an outfit. Not sure I will get out in a white heel any time soon but someday. 😉

These fantastic Cork wedges by Colin Stuart have a T-strap upper in patent black. Obtained from Ebay many years ago and they have been worn fishing several times. I may have posted them in the past but I did not remember and was lazy to go through previous posts. They are extremely comfortable. 😉

A rare fit for me are these brown tie up sling back platforms with faux wood soles made by Zigi Soho. I go these on clearance from DSW about five years ago. Extremely comfortable and fun to wear. I like the rivet details on these, they kinda give them a tough look. I have found this designers shoes do not fit me well, but as mentioned these do fit me; very well and I think it has to do with the slingback and tie ups. 😉

These Steve Madden T-strap open toed sandals have a wonderful tapered heel, suede uppers with a velcro ankle fastener and a large knot on the vamp which also has some ruching detail. These shoes were hunted down in  several DSW stores. I loved them the first time I saw them and had to have them. I was also lucky enough to find them on clearance! 😉

You may have noticed, but I have a lot of Steve Madden heels and it is because they are one of the designers that fit me well. These sparkly platform pumps are in black and just rock! The only issue with this type of material is the stiffness when they are new. It can be a little unpleasant around the toe box when first wearing them but all in all comfortable. I got these from DSW on clearance about six years ago. 😉

These espadrille wedges have a woven fabric upper and a leather heel cap, made by Steve Madden. The buckles are large and certainly a nice embellishment. A very comfortable wedge for summer. These were obtained from DSW about five years ago. They are still an available style but are slightly different.

These are the same style Steve Maddens as above but in black. 😉

These Steve Maddens are a gold sparkly platform pump. You seen them in black above. The material situation was the same with these and I must add worth the transitional time for the fantastic look they have. 😉

These are a grey or black chrome color sparkly open toe slingback by Nina. These are a great shoe; I have worn them to other jobs and I will say I like the spice they gave the outfit. Got these on clearance at DSW about six years ago. 😉

These fabulous sandals are by Guess, in a white with extra large buckles and a wonderful cork platform. These are a statement of sexy and tough for sure. From DSW about five years ago. The Mrs. also has a pair of these. 😉

Another pair of Steve Madden T-strap sandals with an open toe and a velcro ankle strap. Also the same large tapered heel as the ones above. These have a satin upper and super sized gem stone embellishments on the T-strap. A DSW find a short time after the hunt for the other style. The red toes sure do sex them up. 😉

A Nude colored shootie with an inner zipper and an awesome gold sole. I like the ruching on the front; these are by Steve Madden, obtained from DSW about six years ago. I wore these to work about four years ago and wore them while I was working. I will confess, I was the only one there that day. 😉

A find from Ebay about three years ago. These are made by Xhilaration, a canvas round toe upper with a thread through ribbon on the slingback and bow tie vamp embellishment. A basket weave espadrille wedge makes these perfect for the boat. The down side, they are a little snug and the slingback does not have any form of adjustment. An elastic strap would be good but these are very inexpensive shoes to have a cobbler add such a thing. 😉

One of my go-to sandals to run to the mailbox or head out somewhere; with or without a change of shoes. The Colin Stuart wood heel two strap sandals were a totally awesome find on Ebay about eight years ago. They are always out and ready for me to throw on. One of the absolute best things about these are both straps are adjustable.  😉

Here are a pair of Diba I got again on clearance at DSW about eight years ago. I love wood heels as you know, and the all tie-up uppers in a matte black and slingback are an awesome trait. They have this amazing overlay look to them. I wore these to dinner tonight and my newest pedi sure shined bright. (I will try to get that on twitter). A very comfortable shoe! 😉

A Steve Madden round toe pewter pump with a ribbon tie instep. Purchased from DSW about nine years ago on clearance as well. Comfortable and will certainly match several items and shimmer. I like round toes as they offer that perfect amount of room for my larger feet. 😉

A recent Ebay acquisition are these black wedge sandals with diamond stud embellishments were a real steal for $6. These are called Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker. I think they will work well on the boat. 😉

These awesome embellished nude suede open toe sandals are made by Mix No.6. I got these a few months ago with a discount coupon on DSW.com; also on clearance. A very comfortable shoe. For some reason, I get the feeling I might have a pair of these already… I think when that starts happening, one may think they have to many shoes. 😉

Another Style by Mix No.6 are these two strap sandals in a patent black. I always find this style sandal to be sexy; simple and sleek, allowing the foot in them to show off all their fantastic appeal. Got these in the same purchase as the pair above. 😉

These are certainly a great retro pair of wedges. Love the stitching detail and the great maroonish purple color. Found these great T-strap Steven by Steve Madden’s on Ebay a couple years ago. A great color purple on my toes as well. 😉

Here is another rocking pair of wood heel platform sandals with a strappy leather upper by Steve Madden. A great deal on clearance from DSW about eight years ago. 😉

These are great Steve Madden faux wood clogs with real leather uppers. They have a tie up front and I am so happy I am able to have a pair of clogs that fit. I enjoy heel clogs! The Mrs. also has a pair of these; I have not worn them out yet but perhaps we can match one night for dinner. 😉 These were another one of those great deals on clearance at DSW about six years ago. 😉

One more pair of those great Steve Madden espadrille wedges; these are in a great green. The year I got these I think the only color I did not get is the blue and red ones. 😉

I may have posted these in the past, I do know for sure but I have posted the black ones. These were given to me by the Mrs. about nine years ago. She got them from Newport News; they have a great looking faux wood heel, platform and a T-style sandal in electric blue. I think they go with scrubs just perfect. 😉

I wanted to show off a great dinner outfit I wore with these Calvin Klein pumps with zipper detail in this amazing dark green. I almost returned them until I wore them in the house for about four hours and found them to be more comfortable than initially thought. I got them from DSW on clearance earlier this year. 😉

These yellow T-style strappy espadrille wedge sandals by Pulse were purchased on Ebay about six years ago. I like the added buckle detail on the vamp which are slightly adjustable. I wore these with my athletic skirt on this day. I have worn both these fishing before. Love skirts. I have to point out this pedi is awesome as they glow in the black light.  😉

These black patent strappy sandals have great stitch detail on each strap and a fun zipper closure on the instep I have to wear these with the zipper half down as they are a little snug when completely zipped. I obtained these Preview International heels from Nordstrom Rack about four years ago. I also wore some layered pants I got from Ebay this year. 😉

Another pair of Preview International sandals I got at the same time are these patent black sandals with a side zipper. I have worn these on a trip we go on every year. Again I am not able to zip them all the way up as I have those big feet. I also wore some fun socks I have along with one of my jean skirts. 😉

A pair of Guess cork wedges in blue denim embellished with chains on the zip up ankle straps. Very comfortable and cool looking. Got these at DSW on clearance about four years ago. The Mrs. also has these but has not worn them out. I wore another one of my jean skirts this day to work. I have a few and you may notice I like them short. 😉

Spring is trying to spring

As the earth makes it repeated journey to the area for which we, in the northern hemisphere, more specifically the mid westerners of these united states of america,  and more precise those in the state of Minnesota, most enjoy, are particularly happy for this to be happening this year. Now, I take nothing away from those who also have had a rough/not so good/ dreadful winter but I can only speak from my experiences. This winter was horrible; one and a half million inches of snow, everyday the temperature was nearing absolute zero and as the spring equinox approaches, and even after the official point of spring being passed, we get some more snow and cold weather. I have entertained the desire to move. To another planet even… 😉 The worst part of this kind of weather is the difficulty in wearing heels. Not a big fan of tracking through snow and ice covered parking lots or sidewalks. We traveled to Arizona for a few days and I was able to bring some heels with me. I did not chance taking them out in the public areas which was a good choice as I happen to run into an acquaintance from my professional life. This would have not turned out well for me. I also obtained a few new pairs. I have many pictures again and I even have some from my recent job. I tried to include parts of my outfit so there are a few odd looking shots. Enjoy the show. 😉

First up are a pair of slingback sandals with a wood heel and platform; made by Mossimo. Obtained the from eBay several years ago. My Pedicure has a shamrock for the St. Patrick’s holiday. 😉

Next is a recent acquisition from DSW to use an expiring rewards certificate. These are by Calvin Klein Jeans. They have a great zipper detail and are a unique color green. At first they were a little snug but I think it might have been the barometric pressure that day… 😉 they are much more comfortable now. I plan on wearing these out to dinner soon. 😉

Another eBay purchase several years ago. These Brown satin sandals by Chinese Laundry are a rare find for me as this designer often does not fit me. Bummer as they have some great styles. 😉

These London Rebels are from DSW. Clearance item, an attempt at getting some heels kinda like a boot but something I like. They are a little tight on my foot but I think I can stretch them out. Wore these out to dinner. I am not sure this designer is going to be a good fit for me in the long term as they are a little short in the arch area for the male foot. Still a fun boot/shoe. 😉

Another eBay find and a great deal. very low cost. I really like wood heels so grabbing these were an impulse. They are from Jessica Bennett; a brown/bronze mule with stud detail certainly make for a unique looking heel. A little loud for me to wear out even though I did wear them to work for these pictures. If you have noticed in many of the pictures in this post, I have on some work attire. 😉

Certainly another one of my favorites. These Steve Madden turtle shell pattern patent slingback cork wedges are wonderful. The awesome open toe I enjoy will be fun on the boat this summer. Found these on eBay this winter for an awesome low price. I think they went well with my sage green suit. 😉

 These suede pumps by Rocket Dog have a great knot detail on the vamp. I have several of these by this designer with the same or similar detailing or material. This blue looks kind of purple at the same time; depending on the light. I obtain these from DSW a few years ago as well.

Another winter eBay find are these tie up platform wedge sandals in black with a canvas heel cap by C Label. Very comfortable and they have that height I love. Going to be fun fishing in these but may be a bit high for rougher waters. I am also wearing a pair of thigh high stirrup stockings. I like these a lot. I may have to wear them on another cold day; of course hopping those go away soon.  😉

 Another addition to the Steve Madden arsenal are these wood grain wedges with a snake skin print strappy sandal upper. Another steal from eBay. Would like to point out another great pedi here… 😉

I have had these Michael Kors open toe black patent sling back wedge sandals for a long time. I obtained them from eBay with broken elastic straps and had to have them repaired. They are awesome. Hoping to wear these out to dinner soon. I took these to Tucson Arizona. It was after the Superbowl and if you can see, I have Denver’s logo on my toes. yup… I know.  😉

Another shoe I brought on vacation; slingback sandals patent black and white from Newport news. I got these over ten years ago. The vamp strap can sometimes not sit in the right spot and cause some over hang of the pinky toe. But they look great besides that. 😉

Another great eBay find; These spiky open toe pumps have clear uppers with a patent black heel and piping. Made by Sheikh. I got these at a very low cost as the heel tips need to be replaced. If you ever find awesome heels needing heel tips, find a local cobbler and price them out. Most often it is a very low cost to add to the price of a shoe for a great deal. I hope to get these out this summer to dinner. In these pictures I am also wearing a skirt I got in NYC and some leggings I obtained from the eBay.  😉

These Jeffery Campbells are my first. I have other heelless shoes but not by this designer. I like the Mary Jane strap on the vamp and they are very comfortable. The color is a little pink. Not sure I will get out in these but I like them for sure. I am wearing one of the body stockings I have as well. 😉

These suede open toe orange pumps have a wood heel Very fun and comfortable by Diva Lounge. Got these for less than ten dollars on eBay this last winter. I might get out in these if I am lucky. Now that I have seen these pics, I think I need to get that purple again on my toes. 😉

I got these for a special treat from the Mrs. and her sister this winter. They found them in a local store call Dots; also the brand name. They have some great embellishments. I am not a huge fan of the pointy toes but these are comfortable and not exaggerated. If I get the chance I will wear them out to dinner.

Sugar has made these suede T-strap open toe heelless platforms in an awesome blue. Obtained from eBay and I want to wear these out very badly. Love love love the color and the style. The fit is fantastic! 😉

The Mrs. gave me these as a Christmas gift this last season. Obtained them from Target on clearance for eight dollars. They are a little tight in the toe box. I might be able to stretch them out. These are by Sam & Libby; a nude heel & ankle strap sandal with a gold vamp and detailed platform.

A pair I had photographed a long time ago but had not remember the name. These pewter sandals by Delicious are very comfortable with a uniquely textured material and a somewhat elaborate strappy design they are very versatile and attractive. An eBay find many years ago. 😉

So that is what we have to show thus far. Hoping to wear many more heels to work for pictures. Please offer those positive comments as I always enjoy and appreciate them. 😉

Dear Santa, All I want for Xmass…

Dear Santa,

All I want for Christmas is one or two hundred pairs of new heels. 😉

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, high heels were clicking, very pleasing to the spouse.

The stockings were hung after washing with care in hopes to be worn with heels placing me high in the air.

The children have rustled up their own homes and beds, so visions of whatever dance in their heads.

The Mrs. in her lingerie and me in my skirt, enjoying the night with booze and a flirt…

I did re-write the entire poem but I was not happy with the final results. As time is drawing near I felt I needed to get this post going before the end of the year.

This post may be another long one; I have obtained a few new pairs of heels again in the last month or so, but nothing I would be shamed for.

I am done traveling for now so I have the possibility to get a bunch of new photos taken of my collection. It might get out of hand. 😉

These are a patent Maroon Mary Jane style pump by Sofft. A heel slightly lower than I like but I enjoy the color. I have worn these out to dinner and may have posted them in the past. This designer seems to be comfy and room; certainly wearable for a long period of time. A DSW purchase a couple years ago.

These black patent open toe slingbacks have a cork heel and platform cover. A favorite style of mine. These are from No Boundaries and I got them from eBay several years ago.

A black faux alligator texture sandal by Vaneli with a small platform and a unique vamp. A comfortable shoe. Not something I would jump to get, I obtained them from eBay several years ago extremely cheap.

These champagne colored, raw silk dorsey style open toe pumps are by Rocketdog. The vamp features a interlinked web of pleats. Very comfortable designer and fun. They have a shorter heel but I like the style. Obtained from DSW roughly four years ago.

A black and beige suede platform pump by Jessica Simpson purchased at DSW several years ago. I wore these to dinner. These were the first pair I wore out with the Mrs. I also wore a pair of wide leg pants and a sweater. These are extremely comfortable. I feel I may have posted these in the past.

A patent red mule from Fredericks of Hollywood. I obtained these from Fredericks online about ten years ago. They are certainly showing there age as the shine has worn off. The vamp is a little snug but other than that they are comfortable.

A black patent pump by Steve Madden from DSW several years ago. I got these on clearance as I do many of my shoes. A very comfortable heel with a hidden platform. The picture does not show the unique style of the toe very well but they are a little different from the regular point. I am sure I will wear these out someday. 😉

A patent nude open to platform pump by Guess. I have worn these driving to work as well as getting gas. Comfortable and fun.Another DSW purchase several years ago.

These sandals by Miss America Pageant are from DSW. They are a tan suede and the ankle/instep strap is a full elastic band. These have a wood stacked heel and platform. Very high feeling heel and certainly something one must be used to wearing to go for a long distance.

These are the same shoe as above just in the color black. They are both a clearance purchase.

A unique style strappy open toe bootie wedge by Steve Madden purchased from DSW on clearance a few years ago for about fourteen dollars. I think most people do not find them attractive or something. I am not a big fan of them but they were a real good deal. The bottom two straps are not elastic like the others and make the shoe a little tight. They have a back zip enclosure for easy on and off. I would wear them out if the comfort was a little better.

A purple open toe platform pump with a black cylinder shape heel by Michael Kors. These are a little tight on me but I have worn them for a few hours around the house. I might try them out someday as I think I can manage. They are fun to wear. I obtained these from eBay several months ago. The uppers are real leather and I might have some luck stretching them for a better fit. I took several fun pics with these but I maintained discipline so not to over share.  😉

These are a new purchase from DSW in November. A patent black dorsey style open toe platform pump with elastic instep straps by Jessica Simpson. I have been watching these for a long time and found them on clearance so I had to have them. Extremely comfortable and I think these may be my next dinner pair if the snow stops falling. 😉

These are another pair I purchased at the same time also on clearance. I wanted these since the beginning of the year. I could only find them in white and resorted to buying them (Posted earlier this year). When I found these in black I was not going to hesitate to get them. A patent black open toe slingback also by Jessica Simpson. The toe area is squared off adding to the unique style and giving a little more room in the toe-box. 😉

A recent acquisition from eBay these faux wood notch wedge patent black sandals are by Rockawear. Very comfortable and flashy. I joked about wearing them out sometime and the Mrs. was a little concerned as they certainly attract attention. 😉

A dark beige squared off open toe platform pump by Steve Madden. I obtained these a few years ago from DSW. I actually had to return the first pair as they had a lump in the toe box and caused great discomfort. It was fun explaing to the staff how I knew it was a problem. After that I have worn these out to drive places but not yet to dinner. Sometime soon I will as they are very nice. 😉

A nude open toe pump with a white heel & platform and red toe box accent by Jessica Simpson. Very comfortable; I have a couple pairs of these in different colors which I may have already posted. I got these about three and a half years ago from DSW.

An orange slingback sandal by Type Z having a buckle accent and perforations on the vamp. I got these from eBay a couple years ago. Not the most attractive shoe but when they are on a foot they look much better. I think with shipping they were just over four dollars. 😉

A gold metallic clog with jewel embellishments an the side of the instep and studs rounding the platform are by Splash . I obtained these from eBay several years ago. I like clogs a lot for some reason but I do not have many.

A sneaker inspired wedge by BCBGirls in patent white and having a silver emblem on the open toe vamp, these were purchased from eBay several years ago and I have worn these fishing several times. The wedge is a little lower than I like but on the boat it certainly is helpful. 😉

The patent black baby-doll round toe, thick half round heel pumps are from Fredericks of Hollywood. Extremely comfortable heels. These have had some of the highest level of wear by me. I wore these to work almost everyday roughly ten years ago. I would walk to the doors very early in the morning, No one was around so I could get away with it. Sometimes I would wear them during the day as I had them with me and nobody but the Mrs. knew about it. These are a great pair of heels. 😉 I purchased these online just over ten years ago and it is awesome I still have them! 😉

These are a sexy dancer style heel, with clear soles, and a glitter upper. If I remember correctly they are seven inches tall. I can walk in them just fine and it is certainly fun seeing things from that height. I obtained these from eBay many years ago. Do not think these will ever get out of the house… well may be for a Halloween costume. 😉

A red patent pointed toe pump by The Highest Heel are detailed with clear sides. Not a style I like much, the extreme pointed toe makes the shoe look extremely long. I obtained these from eBay several years ago and the pictures did not look as though the toes were as long as they are. I do like the color and they are a little tight from the shape of the toe box. I am also wearing my glitter open toe & heel socks from DSW by Jessica Simpson. A little added fun. 😉

These sandals have a zipper detail on all the straps but have a buckle enclosure. A white low heel sandal by Chili, I obtained these from eBay several years ago. Certainly a fun looking shoe with the details. 😉

These cork heel and platform slingback sandals in patent black have a web style vamp. I got these from DSW several years ago on clearance. They are by Kelly & Katie. The cut of the vamp does rub the big toe a little odd sometimes but I think I can stretch that to a more comfortable position. 😉

These are a gold sequin wrapped wedge with a gold crackled vamp by Colin Stuart purchased from eBay a few years ago. The vamp is a little tighter than most Colin Stuarts and make these a little tough to wear. Other wise they are a comfortable shoe. I planned on wearing them fishing but the tight vamp makes it undesirable to do so.

These very sexy black patent open toe slingbacks by Pleaser have an added clear portion to the vamp and uppers. I purchased these from eBay several years ago and just love them. I might get out in these some day but I have worn them many times around the house. 😉

A silver sandal by Club Zone obtained from eBay. A very cheap find and the shoe is a fun style to wear. After taking the pictures here, the ankle straps on one of the shoes broke. I was not happy but I think I can convert them to a mule. 😉 They are a great shoe as the vamp straps are also adjustable. A great way to enable comfort for all types of feet. 😉

These fetish ankle cuff sandals are by Ellie. I found them on eBay many years ago and had to have them. I love this style shoe. The down side is the extremely small toe-box making for a very small strap and that is not good for a large male foot. I am sure females have this issue from time to time as well. I still love them. 😉

These are a notch wedge sandal with jewel embellished buckles on the crisscross vamp in a patent white by Ellie. I got these from eBay many years ago. Very comfortable when you get the buckles in the right place. They do float on the vamp and I think that is good as every foot is not the same. 😉

These mule sandals feature a cage style vamp in patent black from Fredericks of Hollywood. I got these on line several years ago. They are a little snug and leave there impression on my foot which can be uncomfortable after a while. They are attractive when worn however. 😉

These BCBG Paris sandals in a mustard yellow were obtained from eBay earlier this year. I have these in a couple other colors as well. These are a little smaller fit than the others which I am displeased with. I really like the color but they are hard to wear for a long time. I might be able to stretch them a little to help. We will see. 😉

A very dark purplish brown colored open toe platform pump by Paprika were obtained from Burlington Coat Factory several years ago. A very snug fitting shoe. I do like the color and mild distressed look to the material which is not depicted well in pictures. I got them on clearance for eight dollars so I cannot complain to much. 😉

A silver twisted vamp mule with a subtle platform by Fredericks of Hollywood. I have them in black as well. They were on clearance when I got them and really liked both colors. The vamp stretches to enhance the comfort. 😉

A pair of Nine West sandals in a purple and grey satin upper with added detail straps on the sides of the instep, featuring a cone shaped heel and platform. I purchased these from eBay several years ago as a shoe lot.

One of my favorite pairs of platform sandals are these black patent heels by Jessica Simpson. They have a huge buckle detail on the vamp matching the buckle enclosure. I got the Mrs. a pair as well and I cannot get enough of these shoes. A DSW purchase a few years ago. 😉

These nude open toe platform pumps are by Fredericks of Hollywood. Purchased several years ago and very comfortable. The color is extremely light as you can tell by the pictures washing them out. I think these was when the hidden platform was becoming a bigger thing. 😉

These platform sandals are also a dancer style heel, about seven inches tall, a clear strap vamp with an added jewel embellished strap and an hourglass shaped wide heel. The clear straps always get a little tight for me. I have tried the blow dryer method and have not been successful. Perhaps I need to do it more than a couple times to get the shoes to conform to my foot better. These were an eBay purchase several years ago. 😉

I realize I mentioned these above but here they are. These are the black version of the Fredericks of Hollywood twisted vamp mules. Certainly a fun shoe and I think a little dated nowadays. 😉

Another Fredericks of Hollywood purchase several years ago, these metallic dorsey single strap vamp pumps are a bright electric pink. They have a ribbon bow on the vamp and a short heel. I like this style so much a I was willing to get what ever color was in my size. At the time I was not as concerned with the lower heels. These are comfortable but I do not think I will get out of the house in them. 😉

These are another one of my fishing shoes, a pin-stripe satin upper, round toe slingback espadrille wedge with bow accent by American Eagle. Purchased from eBay several years ago. They are easy on and off for the fishing crowd. The wedge covering has a twisted rope look.

A pair of Rocketdog pumps in a black suede featuring a difficult to see pleated vamp. The heels are just a little shorter than I like but they are very comfortable with the almond toe. I wore these to a weekend getaway with the Mrs. Almost went to dinner in them as I had them on while driving, and the Mrs. was a little worried being we were in a strange place. Wore them around the resort very often though. 😉

I have a few more but am missing some names so they will be on the next post, probably next year.

A mixed bag of…

And my role continues. Hope all are doing well. 😉

I have been busy as you can see. I recently had a string of eBay wins. As I have been making good headway on photographing my collection, these additions slowed it slightly. Not that I am complaining. 😉 Be warned, this is a huge post… I am not sure I have put this many pics on a post before. 😉

As we prepare for winter in the midwest, many of the wonderful high heel wearing ladies turn to boots. I have stated my opinion many times as not being a fan of boots. As this is true, I have obtained a few to find a liking to boots. I cannot say I like them but I do appreciate them if they have a heel. But they still take away from what I like the most about heels. The visual effects on the feet. Yes, this is what makes me unusual. And to not go to far into my fascination about the ordeal we will just say I appreciate heels, how they look and what they do. 😉

And we are on with the recent display of my heels. Enjoy! 😉

First are a pair of… Yup, Boots… As mentioned, a way to learn more appreciation for them. As I have learned that, I still do not like them. I like the heels but I just do not like all the coverage they have. These are a black knee high boot with an inner zipper and a fold over top by Kelly & Katie. A DSW purchase a couple years ago. Very comfortable and maybe someday I will wear them out. 😉

Next we have a military inspired high ankle boot in OD green with a canvas upper and brown toe & heel caps. They tie up but have a convenient inner zipper; by Steve Madden and a DSW purchase also a couple years ago.These are not bad as they are a little unique. 😉

Another boot purchase at DSW a couple years ago. These Kelly & Katie have an inner zipper, belt embellishment around the heel and a couple pleats up the front in a nice black; this high ankle boot is also not to bad.

A fantastic black strappy platform sandal by Guess. A comfortable and sexy shoes for sure. The matte black finish resemble an old belt. Another DSW purchase about three years ago. 😉

An eBay purchase roughly eight years ago. An ankle strap sandal in a very pale gold with snake skin texture. Designed by Studio C. The embellishment on the vamp was added by the seller. Nothing more than a faux pearl bracelet glued to the vamp. I would not have done it but removing it would cause damage. 😉

A brown T-Strap sandal by Anne Michelle. An eBay purchase three years ago. I got these in a lot. They look less comfortable than they are, particularly around the toes. Certainly a shoe I would wear while fishing due to the chunky heel. I have many others I prefer however. Perhaps I can wear these while tending to the lawn. 😉

Another eBay purchase about five years ago. I have worn these dull black fur lined Mary Jane pumps by Aerosoles fishing a few times. The chunky heels work out well. 😉

A real fun pair of heels by Steve Madden. Purchased a few years ago at DSW. Matte black finish, with cut outs around the instep uppers which lace up with ribbon. I wore these out to dinner two weeks ago. I could not decide what to wear and just grabbed the color shoe that would work. Unfortunately covered up my new awesome pedicure. I have a few awesome ones here. 😉

A Steve Madden purchase from DSW in California. An open toe platform pump in a black suede upper. Very comfortable. I may have worn these out, I cannot recall but I certainly will if I have not. I have worn them to the car a few times for sure. You may be able to tell the heel has a nice gloss finish. 😉

One of the recent eBay wins. A satin upper, slingback sandal wedge by Charles Albert. Very unique Shimmery and rather loose. Could be wear from the prior owner but they certainly move a lot when walking. Something a long slingback such as these will do. 😉

A cork sandal wedge with a nude ankle strap and peach vamp by Sam & Libby. Another recent eBay purchase. A little snug in the vamp but seems to loosen up after a few minutes. They are a wonderfully tall wedge. 😉

Ebay purchase, extremely cheap; a black strappy sandal by Hotkiss. The upper is reptile textured with the vamp having a small bow embellishment. The pictures looked a lot better on eBay to me. Not something I would have purchased in person. 😉

An eBay purchase several years ago. I think these were also part of a lot, perhaps the same lot as mentioned above. A brown strappy sandal by diba having a detailed vamp and spaghetti like straps.

An ebay acquisition roughly seven years ago, these blue strappy vamp sandals have a faux silk upper by Classique. Probably a rather old fashion.

These sexy silver sandals were purchase from eBay about ten years ago. And they do not have a designer name on them. That is how they came. They have been bumped around the closet and certainly show some dings. A fun heel for sure. 😉

A DSW purchase about two years ago, these brown platform pumps have a fantastic lace embellishment on the vamp and heel by Zigi Soho. Very tall and sexy; got the Mrs. a pair just like them. We may have to wear them out together some time. 😉

An eBay purchase about four years ago, these Steve Madden slingback open toe sandals are extremely comfortable. They are an unusual grey which comes through poorly in these photos and the stitching is certainly a unique addition to the style. 😉

A DSW purchase a few years ago, I may have posted these already… They are an orange suede upper with a snakeskin print cork platform heel. The vamp has a buckle embellishment; the style really reminds me of the seventies. Kinda fun. 😉

I am sure I posted these but I incase I did not, an ebay purchase; a cork covered slingback open toe pump by Fioni. I am not a fan of Fioni as I feel they are a rather poor fitting shoe. In my experience many ladies with complaints about their heels not feeling good are wearing a Fioni. If they fit your foot, I say good for you! A relatively inexpensive shoe. I obtained these cause I like the cork. Luckily they are not a poor fit. 😉

A DSW purchase about two or three years ago, these Nina ankle cuff sandals are in a textured metallic cover. They have a zip up back which I feel adds that little extra sexiness. Certainly a new years eve type shoe, not that you could not make this a flashy addition to some jeans. 😉

Another boot, this ankle bootie by Andiamo was purchased from DSW a couple years ago. They are a purple suede,have some small dot embellishments on the outer sides and have an inner zipper. Another comfortable fit. I liked these for the color. They are much more rich than depicted here. 😉

A sexy clear vamp ankle strap sandal in red by Fredericks of Hollywood. I obtained these from Fredericks about ten years ago. Just love the sleek heel and minimal upper design. 😉

An eBay purchase about five years ago, these BCBGirls mules have a zebra print twisted vamp, a metallic charcoal grey heel and mini stud embellishments around the edge. Very fun shoe. 😉

An ebay purchase about six years ago, a patent black criss-cross vamp mule with a chrome heel by Studio C. Comfortable and a quickly accessible shoe when rushing out the door. 😉

Yes, I have some pink heels. An eBay purchase several years ago, these strappy sandals are by Beverly Hills Polo Club. I might have worn these out the door once. They are a little snug and the toe split can become uncomfortable after some time. 😉

An ebay purchase about six years ago, the same time as the patent black ones, these are in an animal print with a brushed bronze heel, also by Studio C.

These resemble a couple other pair. These blue criss-cross mules with a chrome heel are by Street Scene. Obtained from ebay like the others and around the same time. I wore these several times to work. They matched my attire rather often. 😉

A DSW purchase a few years ago, these are just like a pair I posted a while back. By Jessica Simpson; a snakeskin platform, black heel and a purple patent leather upper. Very comfortable and fun. I have worn the black ones out and need to get these out for sure. Love the dark purple. 😉

These are a shottie purchased at DSW. Black suede upper and a wood stacked heel & platform with a lace tie by Report. Very comfortable. I may wear these out soon as the weather here is like the north pole. 😉

Another recent eBay purchase are these great wedge sandals by BCBGirls. A wicker wedge and an all elastic upper. I really like these. I also want to wear these out soon. They are a little wounded from the previous owner but they were a really good deal. 😉

These are a patent leather white sandal by Jante. I purchased these from eBay about ten years ago. They have a great cross strap on the instep and an extremely tall heel. Very sexy; cannot walk to far in these. 😉

A pair of open toe D’orsay pumps in dark green from Newport News. The Mrs. gave them to me about twelve years ago. I wore these several times to work and even walked down the street in them. It was early enough so no one was around. Very exciting at the time. 😉

Another Fredericks of Hollywood purchase about ten years ago. A light pink slingback sandal. I liked the small heel wrap these have. The vamp is very narrow and unfortunately cut into the foot a little. They are still fun to wear from time to time. 😉

A recent buy on eBay. These heels are awesome!!! I so want to wear them out. Not sure I have the courage. A patent leather upper with gold plate like covers and a zip up back by Red Kiss. These cork heelless sandals are just sexy and fun. Very easy to walk in. If you have not tried heelless shoes, you have to give it a whirl. You will love them. 😉

A small update/summary if you follow me regularly you are aware I am a some – time – blogger… Or a better description may be an inconsistent blogger. 😉 Recently I made a self obligation to bring shoes with me on my business trips to photograph them. This will help the progress of showing you all the shoes I have. I also made a decision to restrict my purchases. It was going well but recently  I made some purchases on eBay. This results in some happiness and disappointment towards me for not keeping to my decision… Well, I will justify it away by telling myself I have been doing well and deserve a reward… Yup, there is always a reason to purchase some new high heels!!! 😉 I have noticed a few blogs the last month expressing dislikes for high heels and how they are damaging to ones feet. I have a few things to say; To start if one does not like high heels I have no problem. Not everyone will like everything. In my opinion, the level of sexy one obtains by wearing high heels will not be reached by those who chooses not to wear them and it is ok if you feel otherwise. 😉
Along with that I will add if one promotes a dislike and offers information on negative effects, ensure the information is accurate and complete. One common issue I read about is high heels cause bunions and other damaging foot issues.
I disagree with this statement as it is written. It has some truth but to me it implies no other possibilities exist and that is not true. Bunions can have a genetic cause. If it was solely caused by high heels only those  wearing them would have them. But men and women who do not wear heels experience this as well. I like to offer this; excessive use of a single item can cause adverse effects. High heels do not cause this problem but poor fitting shoes can compound the issue. I say this is a better statement as it addresses some if not most of the common issue; discomfort, foot pain, injury’s and deformity problems. No matter if it is a high heel, wedge, platform, flat, sneaker or slipper, if it is not the proper fit it will cause some issues and possibly result in damage or at minimum increase the progress of an existing genetic flaw. I do not want to make this a lecture so I will conclude with these few thoughts; I admit I am guilt of getting heels that do not fit perfect. I wear them less than others and do not blame the shoes. It is my fault for the choice. So, to ensure and promote high heelers I suggest these advisory items; make sure the shoes fit well, practice wearing heels of your preferred height on many surfaces, find your best fitting designer(s) and do your best to stay with them, the same goes with the styles best fitting your foot, stretch your legs, calves and feet, allow resting time and lastly treat those feet well by having a pedicure from time to time… 😉 (Ok, it might not fix much but they feel great). One additional thing to say, if you decide to wear a poor fitting shoe, expect the discomfort and accept responsibility for the decision. Make sure you plan ahead and allow for your feet to have resting periods so you still enjoy the experience.Now, on with the shoes for show. 😉

A T-strap open toe platform sandal by Steve Madden in nude. very comfortable with the exception of the snug ankle strap… I think that is just an issue for me… The man feet in all. But a great shoe. Found these on a clearance rack earlier in this year.

A patent black sandal with snake skin heel and platform covers by Jessica Simpson. Very comfortable and tall. I have worn these out once and to my suprise were a good shoe for short distance. The height is awesome. I also have them in a purple. 😉

Silver sandal with cork platform by Brash. An ebay purchase last year and very comfortable. I almost wore these to dinner once. The Mrs. got a little concerned at the last minute on the attention they would demand. 😉

Matte black finished open toe pump with black chrome buckle embellishment on the vamp by Guess. A purchase a couple years ago on clearance at DSW. One of the first few I wore to dinner and I also went shopping in the DSW I purchased them at. Very comfortable. I must confess These are the only shoe I have thus far slipped in and almost fell. I caught myself. It was a very slippery floor… 😉

Gold glitter toe cap suede platform pump by Steve Madden. Very very comfortable. Obtained them from DSW last year. Would like to get out in these as they look very cool. 😉

A satin upper open toe pump with a glitter heel cap extending down the heel by Steve Madden. A little snug; I find that often with satin material but still comfortable. DSW purchase last year.

One of my recent eBay purchases, an espadrille sandal wedge in brown with yellow and white bumpers by Bakers. A little snug but I am attributing that to the man foot thing. Going to be a good fishing shoe next year. 😉

One of my favorites is this suede peek toe sandal with rose gold straps and platform and a unique animal print sole by Betsey Johnson. Purchased at DSW earlier this year. Extremely comfortable!!! I want to wear these out soon for sure!!! 😉

An espadrille wedge ankle strap sandal by Colin Stuart. The single strap vamp is a little snug but the wider man foot could be the factor. Another recent eBay purchase for the fishing next summer. 😉

Recent from eBay these are a matte black  Steve Madden clog with stud and buckle embellishments. Tight for me at the instep but I think they will be forgiving as they are leather.

An eBay purchase about seven years ago. A light brown suede sandal with faux fur instep and ankle ties by Anne Michelle. I am not sure these will ever get out to dinner but they are fun. I have worn these a lot around the house. 😉

Patent black sandal by Jante purchased from eBay about seven or eight years ago. I wore these out of a collage one night. I snuck into a back room by an exit door, changed my shoes to these and walked out to my car in the winter. I was so nervous and excited and I think I was spotted by a couple people. Not sure they saw the heels or that I was a guy… But it was fun! 😉

An eBay purchase earlier this year. Dorsey style animal fuzzy print and leather combination by The Highest Heel Collection. Very tight. I think they are rated a little off for the size. As I like them, I can not wear them. These are going on the auction block some time soon. 😉

A pale gold platform and heel with a nude upper and what I would call peach sling back strap by Jessica Simpson. Extremely comfortable shoe. I have them in another color and may have already posted them. DSW purchase earlier this year. 😉

A platform sandal with a dual strap ankle cuff and instep strap in matte black from Fredericks of Hollywood purchased about ten years ago. Very comfortable and fun. I may get these out some day. I have not found FOH shoes to be very good the past couple years. Kind of sad as they used to be my number one place to go look for sexy heels. 😉

Patent black open square toe sling backs by Steve Madden. These are a favorite for sure. I love sling backs and open toes. These are comfortable as always. I have not worn these out to a dinner but have worn them out of the house to only change in the car. DSW purchase a few years ago and I always have them sitting by my computer in the event I want a quick fix of heels. 😉

A suede covered wedge with an elastic ankle and instep strap and a cork notch on the wedge makes these shoes a lot of fun. DSW purchase by Levity. I obtained these this past winter in NYC. A little snug on the toe box but generally a good fit. 😉

An almond toe pump in Pumice purchased last year in MI at DSW. I have had these to dinner a few times and a movie. A little snug but manageable. I like the color and the style. 😉

A couple Steve Madden espadrille wedges from last year. I have them in a cream canvas and a brown leather. I like the rope back straps as well as the T-strap. Excoting that they are well fitting as T-straps often do not go over well on me. 😉

Productivity is pleasing

As I have been relentlessly trying to make some progress reducing of the stacks of shoes not being photographed, I can say I feel a dent has been made. The past few weeks I have been bring two to three pairs of heels with me on my business trips and photographing them. Some of the shoes I have to show you are recent acquisitions meaning in the last year and some are from several years ago. I also have been wearing a few out to dinner as usual but I have been restricting myself, ever so strongly and nearly failing, at not acquiring many new purchases. As an example just before writting this post I went to DSW.com and filled my shopping cart with nearly $500.00 of new shoes! Currently there is a double point offer and $40.00 off purchases over $200.00 and to make it even worse I have a free tote offer I can get for the Mrs. 😉 I think they know I am vulnerable to the need of new heels. 😉

A eBay purchase this spring by Styluxe. A sculpted wedges heels in patent black. Very fun to walk in. This designer does run a little snug. I will have to get a stretcher to accommodate many of the shoes by Styluxe.

A color block almond toe pump in black and white with a cone shape heel by Fredericks of Hollywood. I obtained these about five years ago. Comfortable and fun.

A cork wedge with a plaid slingback, open toed upper and ring embellishments on the vamp by American Eagle. Obtained these a couple weeks ago from eBay. Certainly a good shoe for fishing. 😉

Super high heel sandal with embellishment details on a clear vamp by Jante. An eBay purchase roughly eight years ago. The clear vamps are usually a tight fit for me. I find them more comfortable with a nylon sock of some kind. 😉

One of my favorite acquisitions from eBay this spring. A spacy looking silver heel with suede uppers and holographic attachments, zipper back by Bumper. I might get these to the cobbler to add some elastic to the back sides for more comfort. A lot of fun to wear. 😉 I will point out one of my favorite pedicure paint jobs in these photos. 😉

Steve Madden spike backed satin ankle strap sandal from DSW. Last year I found these in Michigan. A little tight fitting for me but fun to wear. Satin is not very forgiving and can cause a little cutting-in around the toebox areas.

A purchase from Fredericks of Hollywood about eight years ago. A mule style pointy toe pump with a tie fit around the vamp. Not a real fa of the long toes but for the time they were fun. 😉

A purchase from eBay a month ago, this wedge by Dolce by Mojo Moxy has a patent black vamp, elastic instep strap and a sling style back. And extremely light and comfortable shoe. I also got the Mrs. a pair with a violet purple vamp. She loves them! Do not think I will get these out anywhere but the boat for fishing with the pink but I might get daring. 😉

One of a favorites from ShoeDazzle, a cork wedge with a gold heel tip cap with a T-strap upper in visual green by Scene.The material is stretch and soft. It conforms to your foot well. That being said it feels like a very cheap material. Happy I got them for a low low price.

An eBay purchase about five years ago, a two strap sandal by Pierre Dumas in blue satin with a diamond embellished buckle on the instep strap. The heels have a unique look to them and I do not think I got a good shot of them. Again the satin is not very forgiving and makes for a tight fit on me. A nice color and certain fun to wear for short periods of time.

Pre-Fall Excitement and Blues

I have been enjoying my summer off. Fishing, sewing, cleaning, repairing, and yes, looking at heels and in some cases buying. It would seem our summer here has been short lived and when I say short I mean super short. Like two weeks worth. The end of July and start of August has been highs in the low 70’s and high 60’s. Throw in some clouds, wind, rain and it is now fall… The kicker is the warmth did not start till the end of June… ;)I have been trying to limit myself a lot as I need to get more of my shoes I currently own, worn out in public and photographed for all to see here. 😉 I have been doing ok with all that but I still find myself finding a new pair I must have.I have been enjoying the action type shots for my blog. I guess I consider my shots of me wearing the shoes to dinner and have some sort of jeans on as action shots along with the ones I take while I am on the road at work. I have been trying to be more diligent about bringing some heels with me to the places I go to get some of these photos taken. It is adding a little more fun to the whole blog experience. ;)When I wear my heels out to dinner it is often a Saturday evening and to the same restaurant we always go to. One of our favorite servers asks often to see what I am wearing and does like them. The other staff has been observed checking out my footwear repeatedly. Not many comments from them but someday I am sure I will get some. 😉
Our server friend has told us about the gossip of me wearing heels and that has induced more views and even people walking past our table just for a glimpse. Again, someday things will move more towards the questions I am sure. ;)I have some new shoes to show you and some old ones. Many have been purchased some time ago and have been waiting for a showing.I was asked to also include more of my outfit when I take a picture of my dinner shoes. I have not been successful with that as of yet. I will need to ask the Mrs. to help with those and often she is not present while I am taking pictures.

One more note, I have been allowing my wonderful manicurist to go wild on the designs for my toes and in some cases offer ideas with multi color designs. Feel free to comment on those as well. My hands are always the same: a french style white tip, narrow and short. Not sure I will go outside that box much there. I have had a couple snowflakes last winter on my hands. Felt that was the limit. 😉

These Michael Kors sandals are dark brown and light tan with velcro straps on the vamp and ankle strap. I had to get some velcro strips to add length around the ankle strap and they fit awesome! Wore them to dinner and I would wear them often! Our favorite server loved them. Obtained these from eBay a few months ago. An awesome fit with the velcro. The pedicure is a design for the fourth of July. A combination of a type of yellow and covered with a type of orange to create the cool base color and the wonderful art of fireworks. 😉

I was asked to show more of my outfits I wear to dinner with heels. This is as good as it gets with me taking the picture. A simple ribbed white short and black jeans. I do not often get too crazy with the outfits and I will try to get better at getting pictures of them in the future. 😉

A pair Of Jessica Simpsons I have photographed in the past. Finally wore them to dinner. A great color and comfortable shoe.

An eBay purchase a few years ago. Something I have worn fishing and may not wear to dinner. The vamp embellishments make it a little feminine to me. I like the wood platform and the ankle ties are just awesome. They have the espadrille wedge and are a dark brown, made by Matisse.

I am sure I have put these up before. These are a cork wedge in medium brown T-strap sandal by Colin Stuart. The straps are braided and are very flexible. An extremely comfortable fit. I have fished in these often. I wore them to a medical appointment a couple weeks ago. I changed into another shoe before going in… Yea, I just could not do it that day alone. 😉 The pedi was changed at the last minute. I had a cool blue color but the gale next to me liked it and got to it first. There was not enough left for me so the other colors I picked were these. I said do a two tone and at an angle. This is what I got. 😉

 

These are a black suede strappy upper with a back zip closure by Jessica Simpson. I obtain these a few years ago from DSW. The vamp straps are elastic so the fit is good for my larger foot. The Mrs. told me after dinner these made her more nervous for some reason. Not sure of the logic but she stated it was a very open shoe. I have worn brighter and more open ones before but I think it may have been different as I kept my pant legs rolled up a little this time exposing more of the shoes. 😉

A holiday gift from the Mrs. this last Christmas. These electric blue heel less wedges are by Styluxe. She acquired them from eBay. They are so fun. I am going to try to wear the out someday soon. They are a little snug fitting but I have a hard time finding them in a size 12. These are an 11. If you have ever wondered how it is to walk in these, I will say if you sit your weight back to much, you will get unstable. Other than that, they are no different to walk in. A very cool feeling. 😉

These are a purchase from eBay a couple months ago. My very first Christian Louboutins! A Dorse’ style open toe pump with a ruched vamp and heel cap. The classic red bottoms size 41. Not a size that works well for me!!! I will be selling these on eBay as there is no point in these sitting in a box. They should be on display with a happy foot in them. This is my latest pedicure. If you cannot make it out, is is the face of Ironman. I think it rocks! 😉

Another very recent eBay acquisition. These multi colored ankle strap sandals by Rouge are very fun to wear. I might get gutsy and wear these out someday. Very comfortable and roomy.

A pair of very light beige suede pumps by Steve Madden. I wore these out a few months ago. Learned something; the legs on tables are not clean at all!!! I got some marks on these shoes from that and I am not happy about it. I like the clean look of these and that is not going to be kept if I touch a table leg. 😉

Well, I think that is good for now… I have been taking a pair of heels or two with me every week to my work location as mentioned so it is possible I may get a few more blogs up quicker than I have been. So until next time, I bid you farewell. 😉

Mid-Year Activity

So, I am on a short assignment in a place not known of by the population outside of this town unless you have left this town in search of other things.

There is something to be said about small towns. Slow pace of life, people express greetings everywhere you go even if they have to yell it across a parking lot; even to strangers, healthy cooking is not common and fine dining is certainly lacking…

People are very nice. I have not seen many high heels. The only shoe shop is a Payless and there was not much to see in it.

I came prepared by bringing four pairs of my older heels needing yet to be photographed and a outfit to do it in. As there has not been much to do here and the weather is still resembling something closer to the end of winter / start of spring / start of fall, I have been able to sit in my uncomfortable room and take some picture. 😉

So here we go. 😉

First are some Colin Stuart Sandals. These have a suede cover on the platform and heel. Brown straps and some awesome stud detail. They had other straps around the instep; I had to remove them for a better fit. I obtained these a few years ago from ebay. They do not look like they ft well in a couple pics but when they warm up my foot settles in and they fit nicely.

Here are some black ribbon tie booties with cutout detail & they have a little shimmer to them. If I remember correctly, the Mrs. obtained these for me from the Mall of America a few years ago.

Another Ebay purchase roughly 5 years ago. A pair of Nine & Company black sandals, a matte finish to the leather, giraffe print on the insole and cutouts on the vamp straps. These are very comfy and a quick pair to put on.

These next ones are by Ballistic; another pair from ebay several years ago. Black patent with a silver instep and very strappy. The heel is chunky and have a great shape to them. Here you can see the outfit I chose to take some of these pictures in. It is a black and grey zebra print skirt from Macy’s and some Jessica Simpson blue footless tights.

As an added bonus, I found some pictures I already took from a few new pair I recently obtained. So here are those gems… 😉

First is one of my new favorites; Coach open toe pumps in tan with their signature logo print fabric and a thicker heel covered with a patent material. They are a little snug as Coach certainly did not intend these to be styled on the male foot but nothing I cannot deal with. Wore these to our favorite restaurant with jeans. Certainly was a challenge as they do stand out. 😉 A DSW purchase.

These are by Rocket Dog, a pair of their wedge sneakers with velcro straps. Purchased from DSW. Very comfy and the Mrs. likes these a lot… As you can imagine they do not look like a heel… Well at least they hide well… 😉

Another pair of wedge sneakers; these are by Coach. Again very comfortable. Tie up with a leather lace. The heel is a little lower than I prefer but I could not pass up on some Coach items. Obtained these from Macys online.

From DSW a pair of Jessica Simpson Square open toe slingbacks with a gold instep. They had them in black and every store I visited, even online, they were out. I really liked the style so I had to get them in white. They may get out in public some day… 😉

Another great DSW find in New york, on clearance are these black almond toe platform pumps by Enzo Angiolini. Very comfortable. I have worn these to dinner, sat outside, it started to rain and from all the extra moving around several people had the opportunity to see me in these awesome heels. When I took these pictures I was wearing some red thigh highs and a garter belt. I do wear them sometimes but this is the first time I have them in a picture. 😉

The last ones I will add in here are the Steve Maddens platform sandals with a zipper back in black. Another clearance item from a DSW in New York. For my male foot they are a little tight in the area of the instep. As many of this particular style are for me. 😉

How to Satisfy the Insatiable?

So, how do you satisfy the insatiable..? Simple answer; you do not, however if heels are involved you are going to scratch that itch a little and it is going to feel good. 😉

I was contacted by Lilly Babineau to do a guest post for  PinkBlitz Magazine www.PinkBlitzMagazine.com. It was a wonderful and honorable request. The timing could not have been better. I needed motivation to complete some additional posts to catch up on all of the acquisition I have made the last several months. 😉

As Spring has almost sprung, it is a good time to show off some of the awesome shoes I obtained on clearance from DSW late last year. One of the best things about end of year clearances is you can get some of the best prices and if you are lucky some awesome shoes.

Some of the shoes I obtained were priced from $60 to $90. On clearance I got them from $8 on up to %50. Talk about a double score! 😉

I have been working in New York lately and it has been a lot of fun to see the fashion happening all around me. I intend to get to the Manolo Blahnik store before I am done working there.

Jessica Simpson Platform sandal in snake skin and nude. They do not fit my foot the best but that is not a great way to judge for a fit, but I like them. Not a huge fan of snake skin prints but a subtle amount is good. 😉

Diba peep toe pumps with an ankle strap in Rose gold. I love metallic’s.  Not something I will get out of the house in any time soon, but some day. I have found Diba shoes to be comfortable and low cost. They are also producing some great styles. 😉

Pink Pepper black glitter platform sandal with stud embellishments.  A very fun shoe. If you have a concern for walking a lot and getting tired or sore feet, this particular style is great. You get the heel height that looks great but a low heel feeling with the large platform and still remaining all sexy!!! 😉 I will confess I like the high heels feeling; but sometimes it is nice to be able to jog if you have to. 😉

Steve Madden Espadrille wedge T-strap sandals in little beige. The material is a canvas, and as great as it looks and feels, one will certainly need to be careful with this material. It gets dirty easy due to the color and it can be difficult to clean. Still love them and will wear them while fishing. 😉

The same wedge Espadrille sandal by Steve Madden as above but in a different material and color. This color was not a eye catcher for me when they first came out, but a great example of a awesome shoe for very little cost. This style is extremely comfortable and certainly with be a great idea to wear during the thawing of spring. 😉

I have included several shots this time as I did in my last post. I did not have any action shots as last time but I do not want to bore you. 😉

Lucky Year 13

If you are superstitious you may have an issue with this years number. Perhaps we will all place blame of anything negative happening to be an effect of the year being of thirteen. I do not personally fall into said superstition but say if that is your thing so be it.

I mention this as recently I was on an airplane sitting next to a fantastic young lady; a fashion buyer. We had some wonderful conversations. I usually keep to myself but she committed an act that induced the need to have a conversation. I often take my shoes off on the plane, as I do this my shoe falls over on its side. She observed this and felt compelled to reach down and straighten it up while I foot was half way in the shoe and explained it was a superstition from her childhood. I do not know if she noticed b pedicure but later she did mention my manicure. As this flight did not take off on time, we had several hours to chat about fashion and her superstition.

She had mentioned shoes and the conversation went to heels. She had expressed her enjoyment of them and mentioned she changed her shoes as security  I encouraged her to never do such a thing in the future. Further into the conversation she asked if I would wear heels and I said most certainly. She followed with praise and positive encouragement. I would welcome our paths crossing again.

I have entirely to many new shoes to photograph and put up. I will only do a few now and hopefully get more up sooner than later. I think I have said this before. As always feel free to comment and offer suggestions.

First an Ebay purchase. Jessica Simpsons, chrome heel, grey metallic open toe clogs. Love the cut-out of the heel. I am hoping to wear these out soon. 😉

Next is another Ebay purchase, Steve Madden Spiked, ankle strap sandals. Absolutely stunning; a bronze colored back, black vamp and heel. Extremely comfortable.

Another Ebay purchase. I got the Mrs. a pair of these while I was in California  They had ran out of my size and when I found them on Ebay, I had to get them. Very comfortable and tall. Small steps only in these. I almost wore them out the other day. 😉

DSW Jessica Simpson. I have these in another color as well. These were on clearance so I had to get them. 😉

One year Anniversery!!!

YEA!!! It has been one full year!!!

It is very difficult to believe it has been one whole year since I started this blog. The shoes that have been purchased over the last year have been fantastic. I have encountered some wonderful people on the blog circuit and have gained some confidence in wearing heels in public. I am working on the Mrs. to also form more confidence. All in due time.

I have offered thanks in the past and I feel I can never offer it enough. So again I would like to offer gratitude for all of the fans I have obtained and the support of every viewer I have had this past year. With that a sincere warm thank you to all!!! 😉

I have been traveling again for work and this time, the location is not as exciting as California was but I have a wonderful time no matter where I go. I in no way a indicating the place is bad, only in comparison to a city like LA or even New York; it is a lower key place. No negative nuances implied. 😉

Something I yet to complete is photographing all of my heels obtained prior to Heels for All was started. I may have to take some time off work just to accomplish that task… It is a cool idea in theory. 😉

At the start of my blog I asked for suggestions for style as well as tips. I have received a few but nothing over whelming. I guess that is good to a point but I feel there may be ideas out there I can hear about.

I encourage comments and as a reminder, I encourage them to be appropriate. I am happy to say in one year I have not been on the receiving end of any negative feedback. Kudos to all, for that. 😉

On with the selections of recent acquisition

These are a mint sandal by BCBG. I do not usually have luck with BCBG fitting very well, but these seem to fit ok. The Mrs. loved these and wanted a pair and after I found them for her on clearance, the wonderful management of DSW offered me these in my size for the same clearance price. I could not say no to that. 😉

How about a new brand!!? By Pink & Pepper, an ankle strap open toe pump in black and nude. These are rather inexpensive and yet comfortable. I have mentioned it before, I try to find new brands that fit but it is tough when these shoes are not designed for men in mind. 😉

The color blocked Jessica Simpson sandal in magenta, purple teal and black. There is another color combination of browns and coral, I think, they are a lot more toned down than these. I just liked the way these looked and had to have them. With the elastic instep strap, these are able to fit my foot perfectly. 😉

A fantastic glitter fabric open toe pump by Guess. These are not sequence, studded with crystals or even covered with glitter flakes. These are a fabric upper with the glitter in the fabric making them smooth to the touch. Flashy but not to bad. I am thinking about wear these out, but I feel fear will get the best of me… 😉

Colin Stuart Blush Mary Jane sandals, acquired from eBay. These are new and I got them for less than $15. I love the style and would have preferred then in black or nude. The blush color may be something I can get away with but I am not sure how yet. The color is one I like and the gold heel is a nice glitzy addition but I am not sure how to style these yet. 😉

Fergalicious By Fergie sling back mock wedges are comfy and fun. I like the wedge look with the small cutout creating the appearance of an independent heel. This style is a personal favorite. I have found the Fergie brand to be very comfortable thus far. I might start focusing on shoes from them to see how far I can go with their styles as it pertains to fit. 😉

Levity Orange chunky platform sandal is a mix of today and the 70’s. The color, the vamp style and the platform design remind me of the platforms of the 70’s. However I do not recall seeing anything like a sandal with snake skin print from that era. These are fun and comfy. I have been wearing these around the house for weeks now. The Mrs. is not a fan of them so I guess I will not be getting her a pair. 😉

Style & Co. yellow thong wedge obtained from eBay. These look better in the picture. No kidding, I got these for $3 including shipping. I like the color and the style but they are not comfortable on me. The thong style can be tricky on me. I will end up reselling them or sending them on to someone else through donation.

I look forward to your thoughts and hope I can get the next post up sooner than I have been. If you did not notice my Pedi, they are a French tip in purple and the glitter does not show well, but that was my limit for the 4th of July. I could not go all out with tons of flashy stuff as I am in the airports a lot and already get some interesting looks from people. 😉 A friend has asked me to put together a website for them so I might be preoccupied with that for some time. After California Part 2 of 2

Finally!!! Right..? 😉

So I get home and work harder than I did when I was at work in California. It was like a vacation rather than work. 😉

From the absence of my contribution to the house, things were in need of.., attention. I do enjoy house work for sure, but the more creative type stuff like building a room, finishing the basement; not that washing the cars and the toys are not fun as it gets me outside in the sun shine. 😉

I have recently obtained an assignment in Michigan. Not sure it will be as much fun as California was, but I will make the best of it. It will be interesting to see if I can get to a DSW there or perhaps I will venture out to purchase at other stores. That statement makes me nervous. 😉

So on with the second part of the shoes from California. Of course most are from DSW, but I did get some eBay items, and I also had some shipped from DSW before I returned. I will also include some I have purchased since being home. Please leave some comments on the selections as well as recommendations.

These first three are all the same style by Steve Madden, colors Black, Grey and Brown. The brown is traditional leather and the black and grey pairs are suede. Round toes are a favorite style of mine as they are very comfortable. I find I have more toe space in them. The stacked wood half round heel is the exact same in all of them. I got these on line and I could not decide what color I like the best. Since they were all on clearance, I figured I would get three of the four (The forth color was a bright red in suede) and decide after I saw them. I have not decided yet. 😉

These purple chunky suede covered platform pumps are also by Steve Madden. I wanted to add some color to my collection and decided to try these. Comfortable as always and certainly eye catching.

These are also a purple suede pump with a stiletto style heel and a almond toe. I have a few shoes by Sam Edelman and thought I would try more of his designs. I like the low cut vamp exposing the toe cleavage. I know not everyone finds that appealing but I find the shoe fit better with a low cut vamp as well as enjoy the appearance. 😉

Snake skin, single strap vamp sandal with a patent leather ankle strap by Jessica Simpson. These are an awesome fitting shoe. I got these at a DSW at the Galleria in Sherman oaks in CA. One thing I did not notice when I got them was the right foot ankle strap is backwards. The buckle is on the inside of the foot. I kind of like the difference. I do not think I will exchange them. I will confess I am not a huge fan of snake skin prints but these have a style that tones that down a bit.

I got these on eBay. The brand is called “it’s”. I bid on them not expecting to win as I was not sure about them. They intrigued me but I was not sure why. I like the wedge, the red color is nice and the uppers are all really low cut, the ankle strap is one with the upper and I like the open toes. I am unsure of the vamp embellishment. Tell me what you think. In the end, they were only $8 and that included shipping so it will not be a big loss. 😉

Now with the shoes I got in April while at home.

These are a patent black sandal with a cork platform. The ankle straps are adjustable but they also have a zipper back so you do not have to get in and out of the shoe by undoing the buckles. Very comfortable shoe without a doubt. They come in a nude color as well, and they are on clearance. Certainly a favorite for the summer. 😉

An open toe, cork embellished platform & heel pump, again by Jessica Simpson. The red is very bright. I think bordering on the neon side and almost a pink. The picture shows up a little more pink than they are. You also can not see the small color specks in the cork but there is some aqua, purple, teal, black, white, yellow and red that really looks cool. The Mrs. liked these so I found her a pair as well. She agrees they are very comfortable and they look amazing. 😉

Last but not least, a pair of open toe, sling backs by Guess. The grey, blue and red are a satin material and the brown straps are leather. I saw these when I was in CA and almost bought them. I decided to wait and I am glad I did. They ended up on clearance! I think the satin is toned out of the elegant standings with the color combination as well as the leather straps. I guess I am saying they will not need to be dressed up, I can wear these with jeans for sure. When I dare. 😉

Believe it or not I have already acquired some new shoes for this month of May. I did not included them here as I will hopefully have some new stuff to write about to include them with. I will tease you and say they are some fun ones for sure.

After California part 1 of 2

HELLO TO ALL MY FANS!!!

I want to thank you for your patients and express my appreciation for your dedication to stick with me while I was unable to tend to my blog. Join me in welcoming some new fans as well. I am happy to get new fans and am surprised as I have not been very active recently.

As many of you know, I went to California for a few months for work. I was hoping to post while out there however it was not working out well. I did however find some time to seek out several shoe stores. There are some fun ones out there. I did stick to DSW for my purchases as I get points and I can return them with ease.

For those unfamiliar with DSW rewards, you get points for purchases and every 1500 points gets you a discount coupon. I think it is $5. Once you become a premier member, you get a $10 certificate for 1500 points. The program is free. 😉

Enough of that stuff. Now for some fun;

I will admit, prior to going to California, I always would say I would never go to California as I am not interested and the hype was certainly not worth the time. Now after my visit, during the winter months, the place was absolutely great. I enjoyed my time there in every sense. Wonderful weather, most of the time, 😉 great food, lots of great people, awesome styles to see and without a doubt, the best high heel place on the planet. Gals walking in heels for miles if not blocks; now understand when I say heels, I mean at least four inches tall. A lot of boots as it was winter but several shoes and often.

I have always constituted heels go with everything. I saw this be true several times. I witnessed heels with sweat outfits and everything above. Other things I would never frown at are nylons or tights with short shorts. Add heels and a sweatshirt and it was fantastic. Various patterns and colors were also a great idea. As I think about it, I never saw a combination of things that did not look good. That being said, I am never a fan of flats… Enough said. 😉

Some great things that I had experienced is several visits to the Griffith Observatory. I recommend this place for everyone. Wonderful views of the sunset and surrounding scenery as well as wonderful things to learn about. Santa Monica Pier was fun to visit just to see it. But the ocean is great to visit anywhere and another great place to watch the sunset. 😉 Other great things included drives up and down the mountains, hiking parks on the mountains; cities I visited were always interesting. I enjoyed the public transportation system as well as walking everywhere. A favorite place for anything was The Grove. I was there almost every day. For meals, walking, people watching… as mentioned, anything. 😉

So, on to the shoes I obtained while there. I warn you… There are a lot!!! With that information, I have decided to split them up into two posts. 😉

First up we have a pair of MIA’s in taupe. I tried these on in the store. I remember very well, I was in Pasadena. I always liked these but did not know if they would fit. I was so excited to find they fit very well. Now I am hunting for them in black. 😉

A pair of Steve Maddens peep toe chunky pumps in black. I have these in a dark maroon that I got before I left. Found them on clearance and decided they were a must get. These were the very first pair I purchased in California. 😉

Here we have another black pair of suede sandals from Steve Madden. I got these on clearance as well.

Maroon & black with a brown heel and instep strap all suede material. Steve Madden as well. Very comfortable and they look great. I am thinking of wearing these out perhaps this weekend. 😉

A very inexpensive eBay purchase; I just love wood heels and sometimes I take a chance on how great the shoes look in the picture. Sometimes it does not look as good in person but I think I can use these around the house a lot. 😉

These are a Jessica Simpson platform in brown and teal. As I mentioned I really like wood heels. I was not too sure about these at first but they are comfortable and I do like them. I try to keep my purchases to things I would wear out and I have not decided on doing that with these yet. 😉

A great pair of Jessica Simpsons in beige & black with a sculpted platform; after seeing these on someone else, I felt they needed to be added to my collection. Very comfortable as well and they look very cool. I may have to wear these out next instead. 😉

The trifecta of Steve Maddens; yes just another color of the ones above. Peep toe chunky pumps. 😉

These awesome strappy zip back booties in black suede are by Jessica Simpson. They have a pedestal style platform. I got these when I stopped in Las Vegas. They were a steal on the clearance rack. 😉

I have been looking for a brilliant Blue and I found that in these Steve Madden Sandals. 😉

Another gamble on a new designer and it worked out great. These peep toe pumps by Fergie are just awesome with the open side. These are comfortable and rather inexpensive. 😉

These beige pumps by Guess have a couple small cut outs and are accented with gold piping. These were another try on in the Pasadena store when I was getting the Mrs. a pair of shoes. I was a fan of these last year when they came out but Guess are sometimes tight on me and I did not bother to give them a second look. These were such a low clearance price I had to try them out. 😉

My last pair for this post is the beige and black open toed mock sling backs also by Guess. Another great clearance buy. These are very comfortable and another contender for the next pair getting worn on an outing. 😉

I thanked everyone at the beginning but I wanted to express my gratitude again for the patience and loyalty everyone has shown me. Your support means a lot. I am still working on my confidence to be in the public eye in the styles I want to wear. With the wonderful words and positive comments being left, it is making it easier to endure. While the Merry Bells Keep Ringing…

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, as the silver bells are ringing, in the winter wonderlands we all say let it snow let it snow let it snow as it is starting to look a lot like Christmas! As we walk in our winter wonderlands, we inform our families we will be home for Christmas to not allow a blue Christmas. We will be heading to grandma’s house with our sleigh bells ringing. Once the silent night has past, the O holy night will conclude with the little drummer boy helping us dance around our Christmas trees to a little jingle bell rock. Do you hear what I hear? It is the clicking of some fantastic heels. While you dream of a white Christmas, may the only blue in your holidays be on the new heels you get!!!

That was a lot harder than one might think. 😉

So I have gotten a few new heels, and since I exhausted all my energy in writing the beginning of this post, I will be short in the rest of it.

I will also like to give a warning that at the end of the month I am heading to CA for a while. I hope to find some great heels there to purchase, but I may be a little dry for a few months on my blogs. Please be patient with me as I will do my best to keep up on bringing you some fun new stuff. 😉

On with what I have so far this month:

Steve Madden chunky platform in black. These are real leather, very comfy.

Guess beige open toe cut out platform pump with buckle detail on the vamp. I liked them in the black color s well, but I am trying to get myself into more colors.

Steve Madden covered wedge in brown. I have these in black and have posted them. These were on clearance and since they are so comfortable I figured, why not get the color I do not have… 😉

Steve Madden open toe sling back with stitching detail. I found these on EBay and felt for the price, I cannot go wrong.

Rocket Dog grey felt square toe chucky heel pump with a instep ruffle strap. I always thought these were really cute but not something I could wear. I saw them on a gal in an airport and she was wearing a fantastic outfit that made them look ten times better. They went on clearance and I knew I had to have them.

I am heading out to see Sherlock Holmes tonight and I will be wearing some heels. I have not decided on which ones, so if you want to chime in and give me an idea for a fashion choice, I would be happy to hear.

HOT FOR SEPTEMBER in Minnesota

As the earth
continues on its unstoppable trek around the sun, pointing the northern hemisphere
away from the glorious heat, I managed to locate some very hot shoes. I will
confess that there is one pair I am not going to show at this time. I want to
include them with another post in which they will better serve its dedication.

These I have in two colors. Defined by the manufacturer, one is stone in color and the other in denim. Both purchased from DSW and on clearance. If i have not mentioned it before, I have a thing for clearance stuff. It is like they call my name when they are on the clearance racks as though they are asking not be left behind. 😉

think I also have in a Patent Black. A wonderful Steve Madden Open toed sling
back Platform with the added instep strap in what I think they call nude.

I have these
Guess mules in the denim color as well. As these were on clearance, I had to go
ahead and add this color green.

And yet
another one of the Steve Madden creations and beige open toed sued wedge to
endure the fall weather transformation. It also has an instep strap to pay
tribute to the Mary Jane style.

As a teaser, the last shoe I have opbtained in this recent excursion is going to be included with all of the animal print shoes I have in my collections. I have only one on m blog at this point and I will feel it important to repost a picture of.

Thursdays THRILLING shoe finds!

Well it has been a while since my last post. I am flabbergasted by all of the thoughts coming to mind to write about; review new shoes, review some older shoes, talk about my shoe shopping adventures, heeling adventure, etc… Just too much to figure out.

I will talk a little bit about my shopping today. I am having some siding replaced (Storm damage) and had a need to go to a home supply store for some lumber. I took the opportunity to go to a store next to a DSW. As fate would have it, there is a DSW by 2 different home supply stores. I recently visited one yesterday, so I figured I should check up on the other store. I will mention, this weekend I will take a few minutes to go to another DSW as well… 😉 I found several full priced Items I liked, none of them in my size, a few to consider in my size, and about six pair in the clearance section. I decided to take advantage of obtaining another Jessica Simpson style and two new designers I have not tried before. Now, my method for that is one of two ways, I quick try them on in the store to see if they fit well, or I purchase them, try them at home and decide if the fit is acceptable. As I was alone, I was also not feeling to brave, and there were too many people coming and going, I opted for trying them on at home. I disappoint myself sometimes with that…
So as mentioned I picked up 3 new pairs:

1. Jessica Simpson – Black suede round toe pumps

2. Franco Sarto – Brown suede, pleated vamp Peep toes

3. Enzo Angiolini – Black Comb peep toe pumps

Surprisingly the Jessica’s were a little tighter than other round toe Jessica’s I have. I am thinking they will work out fine. The Enzo’s fit pretty well. I like the way they feel and they look loud, but not too loud. Not sure how I will get away with wearing these out, I figure if I get up the nerve to wear some of my white jeans or Capri’s, they might work well with them. The Franco’s I am up in the air about. They are a little tight, and that is not always an issue, but I feel the narrow feel in the toe box may create some discomfort in the edge of the peep toe. The reason I am up in the air about them is they were 80% off. Got them for about nothing!!! So I am thinking these will get used in the house to see if I can make them stretch out a bit to advance their comfort.

I will tell you about one other purchase I made a couple days ago. I found a pair of Black Coach logo sneakers in my size. This is not a find I come across often. Usually the size 11 is gone when they hit the shelf. So, as any shoe person would do, I got them!!! I will be wearing these to a job site next week. I am excited.

I am grateful for all the visitors I have had. I would appreciate some feedback from all of you. Suggestions on content would also be great.

1. I have seen many videos on “How to walk in high heels”. All of them are done by women. Would you be interested in my opinion or tips on how to walk in heels?
2. If you were to see a guy out in public wearing heels, would you approach him and complement him on his shoes? (This is assuming you like his footwear.)
