The Gales of November

The Gales of November

Well I did
not get these only in November, but I felt for the time of year it is, it was a
good fit for the title.

Here in Minnesota, the great lake, Lake Superior
can have some brutal storms. I personally have never seen one, but then again
from what I have heard I am not sure I really want to.

We visit the north shore every year at the end
of October. We do some sightseeing, have some fun relaxing in a very nice hotel
room, misbehave a little and just enjoy the sights. Most of the time, the
weather is enjoyable too. Only once have we had bad weather and that was not
even all bad; just some drizzle and clouds a bit of wind. All that will just keep
you closer to the room with a fire going. πŸ˜‰

My last purchases from DSW had several returns.
I tried a few new brands and found not to have a lot of luck with the fit. I
did however find some great deals.

As the cold weather approaches, I get lucky enough to have some of the styles I
am less interested in get discounted and find that the price now reflects what
I would pay to have something I would find myself less likely to wear. Ok, in
all reality we all do not wear every item we have very often and in my case
probably even less. πŸ˜‰

So on with the shoes:

Steve Madden Purple and Grey Mary Jane:

I love this pump. The material they used is rather stiff and it was just a little snug in the toe box area. They have different color combinations as well. These went back. 😦

Cork look open toe sling back sandal by Fioni:

Β I will say I do not care for the brand. Most of the time they do not fit well and are cheap. These I got from eBay this summer and it has taken awhile for me to phtograph them. They are comfortable but they are made from cheap material. They will serve as a good running around

Β heel. I do not expect them to last long. πŸ˜‰

Jessica Simpson open toe suede pump:

You have seen variations of this particular shoe. I have three to be exact. I just love these so I often get the colors I like the most. Nothing more to say about that. πŸ˜‰

Steve Madden sparkly open toe chunk heel:

These were the most spontaneous buy yet. I walked in to exchange a pair that did not fit, saw these and grabbed my size. In and out in about four minutes. The perfect holiday shoe. I hope to be daring enough to wear these out around the holidays. πŸ˜‰

Steve Madden chunky open toe pump:

Just another color variation of the ones above. I love dark maroon. πŸ˜‰

Steve Madden covered wedge:

I have these in two color variations. The other I am saving for another post. Very sleek and sexy looking wedge.

SE Boutique open toe pump with embellished heel:

I have these in a pewter color as well. From the day these first came out, I have wanted the black ones. I only was fortunate enough to get these nude pair and the pewter pair. They are great looking heels!

Steven Madden suede chunky heel ankle strap pump:

These have a double stitched semi-squared toe. I have them in the black and a taupe. They are extremely comfortable and a must for the fall winter season.

I have made a bunch of acquisitions since my last post, as you can see. I am still working on the requests I have received. Along those lines, I am looking for suggestions on my shoe selecting for my next outing. That might be this coming Saturday so I would love to get some feedback to plan.

Thank you all again for the time you take to follow and comment on my blog. I am very appreciative. πŸ˜‰

  1. Good selections. I like quite a few pair of those! Looking at your Steve Madden’s made me think about my new purchase. I took your advice on the leopard booties and purchased a cute Steve Madden bootie. I don’t usually buy Steve Madden because for what ever reason they don’t fit me right and luckily this pair did. They are super high though and I feel about 6’2 in them…lol not that I mind! Thanks for the advice and always stopping by.

    • I am glad to hear I have been able to offer a good piece of advice. I am excited to see your purchase and wonderful you make them look.
Thank you for stopping by again. πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your wonderful comment.
I am with you on the sparkly Steve Maddens. I am really trying to pull my confidence together and wear these out soon. They are also available in a light gold. πŸ˜‰
      Stop by again soon. πŸ˜‰

  2. Again, wonderful shoe collection. I really liked the Steve Madden covered wedge – they are very simple but very sexy. And of course I love the nude spiked ones! =D It’s been awhile, nice to see you back!

    • Roxanne,
Thank you for stopping by. I have been preoccupied with.., life. πŸ˜‰
I always appreciate your visits. Thank you for the wonderful comments. I hope you enjoy your weekend and see you again soon. πŸ˜‰

  3. I’m looooving the Steve Madden’s at the end, the suede pumps! My only issue is the ankle strap. That chops my petite legs right down! Other than that, I feel like I need them in my life πŸ™‚

    • Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. Those SM heels are fantastic. The ankle strap is removable so they would work out for you without a problem. πŸ˜‰
      Please come back again. πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you for the comments and for stopping by. I have mentioned this before, but I really hope I get up the nerve to wear the glitter ones. I have some other glittery heels and want to be able to show them all off.
Always a pleasure to see your visits. See you again soon. πŸ˜‰

    • I agree, I think it has to do with the holidays and the approach of the New Year. In any event, these heels are awesome!

I do really like the first “Colourful ones” as well. They were just a little tight for me.
I would love to win a dress but I do not think I would fit in a dress that fits you. πŸ˜‰
Hope to see you again soon. πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you for the visit and the wonderful comment. They are on clearance at DSW right now. Real leather uppers; very nice shoe.

      I appreciate your visits. πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you for the awesome kind words. It does not sound weird. I am appreciative of your praise.
I go to a nail shop every two weeks. I get my hands done as well as my feet with every visit. In the winter months I let the gals at the shop pick the color.
Please visit again and often. πŸ˜‰

    • Kristine,
That is one heck of a greeting. Thank you so much for your appreciation. I think it gives me a lot to live up to. πŸ˜‰
I agree, one can never have to many shoes, and in this case.., heels!!! The higher the better I always say.
I am currently working on my next post. With that being said, I always encourage my visitors to give feedback on my selections and to offer advice on what to wear when I go out.
I am pleased you stopped by and hope to see you often. πŸ˜‰
