After California Part 2 of 2

Finally!!! Right..? ;)

So I get home and work harder than I did when I was at work in California. It was like a vacation rather than work. ;)

From the absence of my contribution to the house, things were in need of.., attention. I do enjoy house work for sure, but the more creative type stuff like building a room, finishing the basement; not that washing the cars and the toys are not fun as it gets me outside in the sun shine. ;)

I have recently obtained an assignment in Michigan. Not sure it will be as much fun as California was, but I will make the best of it. It will be interesting to see if I can get to a DSW there or perhaps I will venture out to purchase at other stores. That statement makes me nervous. ;)

So on with the second part of the shoes from California. Of course most are from DSW, but I did get some eBay items, and I also had some shipped from DSW before I returned. I will also include some I have purchased since being home. Please leave some comments on the selections as well as recommendations.

Here we go:

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

These first three are all the same style by Steve Madden, colors Black, Grey and Brown. The brown is traditional leather and the black and grey pairs are suede. Round toes are a favorite style of mine as they are very comfortable. I find I have more toe space in them. The stacked wood half round heel is the exact same in all of them. I got these on line and I could not decide what color I like the best. Since they were all on clearance, I figured I would get three of the four (The forth color was a bright red in suede) and decide after I saw them. I have not decided yet. ;)

These purple chunky suede covered platform pumps are also by Steve Madden. I wanted to add some color to my collection and decided to try these. Comfortable as always and certainly eye catching.

These are also a purple suede pump with a stiletto style heel and a almond toe. I have a few shoes by Sam Edelman and thought I would try more of his designs. I like the low cut vamp exposing the toe cleavage. I know not everyone finds that appealing but I find the shoe fit better with a low cut vamp as well as enjoy the appearance. ;)

Snake skin, single strap vamp sandal with a patent leather ankle strap by Jessica Simpson. These are an awesome fitting shoe. I got these at a DSW at the Galleria in Sherman oaks in CA. One thing I did not notice when I got them was the right foot ankle strap is backwards. The buckle is on the inside of the foot. I kind of like the difference. I do not think I will exchange them. I will confess I am not a huge fan of snake skin prints but these have a style that tones that down a bit.

I got these on eBay. The brand is called “it’s”. I bid on them not expecting to win as I was not sure about them. They intrigued me but I was not sure why. I like the wedge, the red color is nice and the uppers are all really low cut, the ankle strap is one with the upper and I like the open toes. I am unsure of the vamp embellishment. Tell me what you think. In the end, they were only $8 and that included shipping so it will not be a big loss. ;)

Now with the shoes I got in April while at home.

These are a patent black sandal with a cork platform. The ankle straps are adjustable but they also have a zipper back so you do not have to get in and out of the shoe by undoing the buckles. Very comfortable shoe without a doubt. They come in a nude color as well, and they are on clearance. Certainly a favorite for the summer. ;)

An open toe, cork embellished platform & heel pump, again by Jessica Simpson. The red is very bright. I think bordering on the neon side and almost a pink. The picture shows up a little more pink than they are. You also can not see the small color specks in the cork but there is some aqua, purple, teal, black, white, yellow and red that really looks cool. The Mrs. liked these so I found her a pair as well. She agrees they are very comfortable and they look amazing. ;)

Last but not least, a pair of open toe, sling backs by Guess. The grey, blue and red are a satin material and the brown straps are leather. I saw these when I was in CA and almost bought them. I decided to wait and I am glad I did. They ended up on clearance! I think the satin is toned out of the elegant standings with the color combination as well as the leather straps. I guess I am saying they will not need to be dressed up, I can wear these with jeans for sure. When I dare. ;)

Believe it or not I have already acquired some new shoes for this month of May. I did not included them here as I will hopefully have some new stuff to write about to include them with. I will tease you and say they are some fun ones for sure.

As always, please share your comments and suggestions. I enjoy the encouragement as well as the insight.

After California part 1 of 2

HELLO TO ALL MY FANS!!!

I want to thank you for your patients and express my appreciation for your dedication to stick with me while I was unable to tend to my blog. Join me in welcoming some new fans as well. I am happy to get new fans and am surprised as I have not been very active recently.

As many of you know, I went to California for a few months for work. I was hoping to post while out there however it was not working out well. I did however find some time to seek out several shoe stores. There are some fun ones out there. I did stick to DSW for my purchases as I get points and I can return them with ease.

For those unfamiliar with DSW rewards, you get points for purchases and every 1500 points gets you a discount coupon. I think it is $5. Once you become a premier member, you get a $10 certificate for 1500 points. The program is free. ;)

Enough of that stuff. Now for some fun;

I will admit, prior to going to California, I always would say I would never go to California as I am not interested and the hype was certainly not worth the time. Now after my visit, during the winter months, the place was absolutely great. I enjoyed my time there in every sense. Wonderful weather, most of the time, ;) great food, lots of great people, awesome styles to see and without a doubt, the best high heel place on the planet. Gals walking in heels for miles if not blocks; now understand when I say heels, I mean at least four inches tall. A lot of boots as it was winter but several shoes and often.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I have always constituted heels go with everything. I saw this be true several times. I witnessed heels with sweat outfits and everything above. Other things I would never frown at are nylons or tights with short shorts. Add heels and a sweatshirt and it was fantastic. Various patterns and colors were also a great idea. As I think about it, I never saw a combination of things that did not look good. That being said, I am never a fan of flats… Enough said. ;)

Some great things that I had experienced is several visits to the Griffith Observatory. I recommend this place for everyone. Wonderful views of the sunset and surrounding scenery as well as wonderful things to learn about. Santa Monica Pier was fun to visit just to see it. But the ocean is great to visit anywhere and another great place to watch the sunset. ;) Other great things included drives up and down the mountains, hiking parks on the mountains; cities I visited were always interesting. I enjoyed the public transportation system as well as walking everywhere. A favorite place for anything was The Grove. I was there almost every day. For meals, walking, people watching… as mentioned, anything. ;)

So, on to the shoes I obtained while there. I warn you… There are a lot!!! With that information, I have decided to split them up into two posts. ;)

First up we have a pair of MIA’s in taupe. I tried these on in the store. I remember very well, I was in Pasadena. I always liked these but did not know if they would fit. I was so excited to find they fit very well. Now I am hunting for them in black. ;)

A pair of Steve Maddens peep toe chunky pumps in black. I have these in a dark maroon that I got before I left. Found them on clearance and decided they were a must get. These were the very first pair I purchased in California. ;)

Here we have another black pair of suede sandals from Steve Madden. I got these on clearance as well.

Maroon & black with a brown heel and instep strap all suede material. Steve Madden as well. Very comfortable and they look great. I am thinking of wearing these out perhaps this weekend. ;)

A very inexpensive eBay purchase; I just love wood heels and sometimes I take a chance on how great the shoes look in the picture. Sometimes it does not look as good in person but I think I can use these around the house a lot. ;)

These are a Jessica Simpson platform in brown and teal. As I mentioned I really like wood heels. I was not too sure about these at first but they are comfortable and I do like them. I try to keep my purchases to things I would wear out and I have not decided on doing that with these yet. ;)

A great pair of Jessica Simpsons in beige & black with a sculpted platform; after seeing these on someone else, I felt they needed to be added to my collection. Very comfortable as well and they look very cool. I may have to wear these out next instead. ;)

The trifecta of Steve Maddens; yes just another color of the ones above. Peep toe chunky pumps. ;)

These awesome strappy zip back booties in black suede are by Jessica Simpson. They have a pedestal style platform. I got these when I stopped in Las Vegas. They were a steal on the clearance rack. ;)

I have been looking for a brilliant Blue and I found that in these Steve Madden Sandals. ;)

Another gamble on a new designer and it worked out great. These peep toe pumps by Fergie are just awesome with the open side. These are comfortable and rather inexpensive. ;)

These beige pumps by Guess have a couple small cut outs and are accented with gold piping. These were another try on in the Pasadena store when I was getting the Mrs. a pair of shoes. I was a fan of these last year when they came out but Guess are sometimes tight on me and I did not bother to give them a second look. These were such a low clearance price I had to try them out. ;)

My last pair for this post is the beige and black open toed mock sling backs also by Guess. Another great clearance buy. These are very comfortable and another contender for the next pair getting worn on an outing. ;)

I thanked everyone at the beginning but I wanted to express my gratitude again for the patience and loyalty everyone has shown me. Your support means a lot. I am still working on my confidence to be in the public eye in the styles I want to wear. With the wonderful words and positive comments being left, it is making it easier to endure. Please visit often and I will start working on my next post soon. ;)

While the Merry Bells Keep Ringing…

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, as the silver bells are ringing, in the winter wonderlands we all say let it snow let it snow let it snow as it is starting to look a lot like Christmas! As we walk in our winter wonderlands, we inform our families we will be home for Christmas to not allow a blue Christmas. We will be heading to grandma’s house with our sleigh bells ringing. Once the silent night has past, the O holy night will conclude with the little drummer boy helping us dance around our Christmas trees to a little jingle bell rock. Do you hear what I hear? It is the clicking of some fantastic heels. While you dream of a white Christmas, may the only blue in your holidays be on the new heels you get!!!

That was a lot harder than one might think. ;)

So I have gotten a few new heels, and since I exhausted all my energy in writing the beginning of this post, I will be short in the rest of it.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I will also like to give a warning that at the end of the month I am heading to CA for a while. I hope to find some great heels there to purchase, but I may be a little dry for a few months on my blogs. Please be patient with me as I will do my best to keep up on bringing you some fun new stuff. ;)

On with what I have so far this month:

Steve Madden chunky platform in black. These are real leather, very comfy.

Guess beige open toe cut out platform pump with buckle detail on the vamp. I liked them in the black color s well, but I am trying to get myself into more colors.

Steve Madden covered wedge in brown. I have these in black and have posted them. These were on clearance and since they are so comfortable I figured, why not get the color I do not have… ;)

Steve Madden open toe sling back with stitching detail. I found these on EBay and felt for the price, I cannot go wrong.

Rocket Dog grey felt square toe chucky heel pump with a instep ruffle strap. I always thought these were really cute but not something I could wear. I saw them on a gal in an airport and she was wearing a fantastic outfit that made them look ten times better. They went on clearance and I knew I had to have them.

I am heading out to see Sherlock Holmes tonight and I will be wearing some heels. I have not decided on which ones, so if you want to chime in and give me an idea for a fashion choice, I would be happy to hear.

Have a great day and thank you for visiting my blog! ;)

The Gales of November

The Gales of November

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Well I did
not get these only in November, but I felt for the time of year it is, it was a
good fit for the title.

Here in Minnesota, the great lake, Lake Superior
can have some brutal storms. I personally have never seen one, but then again
from what I have heard I am not sure I really want to.

We visit the north shore every year at the end
of October. We do some sightseeing, have some fun relaxing in a very nice hotel
room, misbehave a little and just enjoy the sights. Most of the time, the
weather is enjoyable too. Only once have we had bad weather and that was not
even all bad; just some drizzle and clouds a bit of wind. All that will just keep
you closer to the room with a fire going. ;)

My last purchases from DSW had several returns.
I tried a few new brands and found not to have a lot of luck with the fit. I
did however find some great deals.

As the cold weather approaches, I get lucky enough to have some of the styles I
am less interested in get discounted and find that the price now reflects what
I would pay to have something I would find myself less likely to wear. Ok, in
all reality we all do not wear every item we have very often and in my case
probably even less. ;)

So on with the shoes:

Steve Madden Purple and Grey Mary Jane:

I love this pump. The material they used is rather stiff and it was just a little snug in the toe box area. They have different color combinations as well. These went back. :(

Cork look open toe sling back sandal by Fioni:

I will say I do not care for the brand. Most of the time they do not fit well and are cheap. These I got from eBay this summer and it has taken awhile for me to phtograph them. They are comfortable but they are made from cheap material. They will serve as a good running around

heel. I do not expect them to last long. ;)

Jessica Simpson open toe suede pump:

You have seen variations of this particular shoe. I have three to be exact. I just love these so I often get the colors I like the most. Nothing more to say about that. ;)

Steve Madden sparkly open toe chunk heel:

These were the most spontaneous buy yet. I walked in to exchange a pair that did not fit, saw these and grabbed my size. In and out in about four minutes. The perfect holiday shoe. I hope to be daring enough to wear these out around the holidays. ;)

Steve Madden chunky open toe pump:

Just another color variation of the ones above. I love dark maroon. ;)

Steve Madden covered wedge:

I have these in two color variations. The other I am saving for another post. Very sleek and sexy looking wedge.

SE Boutique open toe pump with embellished heel:

I have these in a pewter color as well. From the day these first came out, I have wanted the black ones. I only was fortunate enough to get these nude pair and the pewter pair. They are great looking heels!

Steven Madden suede chunky heel ankle strap pump:

These have a double stitched semi-squared toe. I have them in the black and a taupe. They are extremely comfortable and a must for the fall winter season.

I have made a bunch of acquisitions since my last post, as you can see. I am still working on the requests I have received. Along those lines, I am looking for suggestions on my shoe selecting for my next outing. That might be this coming Saturday so I would love to get some feedback to plan.

Thank you all again for the time you take to follow and comment on my blog. I am very appreciative. ;)

The Life of the Party !!!

Well, I was
not the life of the party but it was fun to wear something I would like to wear
all the time. I must correct that a little, this is not exactly what I want to wear
all the time with the exception of the heels. I do wear the pants a from time
to time but not with heels. I am not brave enough just yet to do heels with Capri
pants. I do love Capri pants though.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

So heading
to a Halloween party I decided to mimic someone in my life and I think I nailed
it with the attitude, although others would not know it.

The outfit
originally started out as a jean skirt & leggings with black heels but I
could not find a shirt to match well and the outfit had to be on the conservative
side.

I also
wanted to wear some heels I have not worn out but as fate would have it these
worked better with the outfit, at least that is what the consensus was.

The wedges
are from DSW this year by Jessica Simpson. I have worn these heels all day
while fishing in the past, they are very comfortable. That was a good thing as
I never sat down the whole time.

My outfit is
Macy’s, purchase earlier this year online.

The wig is
one of the Mrs.

People were
impressed that I had found shoes in my size (If they only knew how many I have
& found in my size) and they were surprised at the fact I could walk so
well in them. Some people at the party had knowledge of the fact I get my nails
done but those that did not felt my nails looked fantastic.

I did not
feel out of place or odd in this situation but I think it was due to the excuse
I could use as it is a costume party. I might have to incorporate that in my
mind for the future for my mental confidence. ;)

Enough about
me, now the Mrs. Costume. Much cuter than me, she was a sexy clown. Just a
cheap costume from a Halloween store this year. When I say cheap, I mean cheap
in quality and expensive to purchase. ;)

A close up
of her hot shoes. A gift purchased from Burlington Coat Factory this past
winter.

Thank you for stopping by! Comments are always welcome.

 See you again soon. ;)

The Good, The Best & The Disappointing!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

So, I ordered some
heels from a place I have many pairs from. I had some high hopes for the
selections I made. It increased the disappointment when the great deal I had
was lost from having to return them.

This has caused me to
make the decision to no longer purchase from there again. It truly is a
saddening thing because I liked the shoes. They still look fantastic but the
quality is just less than good. The material is cheap and the sizing has gotten
small.

Never the less, let
us get to the shoe show!!! (I took pictures of the ones I returned as well)

First the
disappointing:

Fredrick’s of Hollywood
animal print platform (returned)

Fredrick’s of Hollywood
Animal print open toe sandal (returned)

Fredrick’s of Hollywood
animal print studded platform pump (returned)

I really am bummed
about all three of these as I liked how they looked. I could have dealt with
the cheap material if they fit better, but why keep what I cannot wear… Right?
Well, I do have some I do not wear but for other reasons. ;)

The Good:

Jante screen strap
clear heels from Ebay

These are not in the
best shape. They are used. I got them from a cross-dresser. The adhesive has let
go on the insole and I will have to make some repairs. It is the chance you
take on Ebay.

The Best:

Fredrick’s of Hollywood
denim graffiti wedge sandal

These fit well and I
like the look. I was unsure of them when I decided to get them. Who knew… they
would be the only ones I keep from the entire order. ;)

Vintage Steve Madden
strappy wedges from Ebay

These are just
awesome. They have a different look to them. These might be what I venture out
in next. I do have a pair already marked for my next outing in heels, but these
might go to the front of the line. ;)

Diba metallic T-strap
sandal wedges from DSW

I got lucky with
these. Not often do I get a T-strap sandal that fits well. The whole man foot
in a female sized shoe often puts me on the short end of the stick. ;)

Sanita Danish lace-up
sling back Clogs from Ebay

I just love wood
heels. These looked so different. They do not fit the best, they are a little
tight. The good thing is I can get them to stretch a little as they are real
leather. The pal purple is certainly different as well.

Well honesty time. I
was going to do an entire post on animal prints this time but the failure of
the first three shoes did not warrant that post. I do have some real fun ones I
will post about, so stay tuned.

Thank you to all for
the great comments once again. It helps me feel more comfortable being in
public. Hopefully I will see someone from my blog someday or someone as wonderful
as those who visit my blog! A couple great things have happened the last week; a
young check out gal was in awe about my manicure and commented positively about
it, second was a supervisors, supervisor. She also had nothing but positive
things to say. She even wanted to go to the nail shop I frequent. Thought that
was saying a lot. ;)

The First Request Satisfied!

(Open toe sling backs with a wood heel and sole by Dereon )

I have had several requests for different things. I suppose
they are better referred to as suggestions for posts. One of these wonderful
ideas was to show some outfits I wear with my heels. A little information at
this point, I like several styles of cloths. As I do not like to refer to them as
men’s and women’s cloths, I do not have another way to describe them. I
feel the cloths I wear are my cloths not women’s cloths and men’s cloths. I
define the women’s cloths as cloths styled for females OR purchased from the
women’s department. I know; this seems silly. I must further explain I do not
consider myself to be a cross dresser or transvestite. This is because I do not try to
look like a woman I just happen to like clothing that is designed for women. I feel
it only gives me a softer look & I must say it is not easy to accomplish. With that
bit of confusion being said, let us get to the outfit I currently am posting.

On this evening we went to dinner. A place I have not worn
heels to before. We have been there a couple times however. It is a Japanese
steak house, hibachi style.

The Mrs. likes me to wear things a little more discreet. She
has no issues with my preferred style of dress; she is more concerned with the
reaction of others to my appearance. She gets nervous just as I do. I know
getting over that is about gaining confidence. So needless to say, I do not
venture out in skirts yet. ;)

When we entered, as usual not many people notice anything
unusual. When we start walking, the sounds of heels on a hard floor are a little
odd when two people are wearing them and your eyes tell you the sound is not
from one pair of heels & the eyes do not see two females. This is when the
curiosity takes over and people look to see what is different. As we walk past
others already sitting, people look at the Mrs. outfit, which was stunning, and see her
blue hair and her matching blue open toe booties with a zipper detail. Than
they see my shoes and realize the person walking behind her was a guy, so they
look back up, verify this to be correct and than respond in the following ways.
Face forward in shock and process what they just saw, turn to the person they
are with and comment on what they witnessed, stair me down on way to my
seat as though they are attempting to understand the conflict in their mind.
And sometimes it is a combination of these.

Often the server is intrigued to the point to want to engage
me often to determine what the deal is. I can say to this day, no one has ever
said a thing about my heels or attire. Someday I hope for that to change &
of course with a positive comment. ;)

I wore a basic black button up, long sleeve shirt un-tucked,
low-rise boot cut tall jeans and my wood, patent black, open toe sling back
heels with gold chains on the vamp. For the picture and the ride home, I rolled
up my pant legs. I did not wear them in this manner to dinner.

The shirt was a thrift store item last year; the jeans are a
thrift store item from this spring and the shoes were obtained this summer. (On
a prior post)

 I will confess I
often rely on the Mrs. for input on my appearance. She is very good about that.
I like to be bold but again, the confidence is not there yet. I would have no
issues with wearing all black and bright red heels. I think it would look cool.
I would also have no issues wearing one of my jean skirts with leggings but
the confidence to do that in public is just not there yet.

A quick note on my nails; we go every two weeks to a nail
shop. I usually get a French tip on my hands and feet in the summer and will go
to color on my feet in the winter. We have been doing this ritual for over a
year now and we are loving it!

If there are any thoughts of how I might be able to put
things together for an outing, I will welcome the feedback. I am planning my
next one to be to the movies. Not sure when the time will come for that, but it
is in the hopper. ;) I am sure I will wear jeans again and I have the shoes I
want to wear next. Not sure about the shirt yet but I have tons of new ones I have
not worn.

Thank you again for your support and I appreciate all
of you visiting & commenting.

HOT FOR SEPTEMBER in Minnesota

As the earth
continues on its unstoppable trek around the sun, pointing the northern hemisphere
away from the glorious heat, I managed to locate some very hot shoes. I will
confess that there is one pair I am not going to show at this time. I want to
include them with another post in which they will better serve its dedication.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

These I have in two colors. Defined by the manufacturer, one is stone in color and the other in denim. Both purchased from DSW and on clearance. If i have not mentioned it before, I have a thing for clearance stuff. It is like they call my name when they are on the clearance racks as though they are asking not be left behind. ;)

These I
think I also have in a Patent Black. A wonderful Steve Madden Open toed sling
back Platform with the added instep strap in what I think they call nude.

I have these
Guess mules in the denim color as well. As these were on clearance, I had to go
ahead and add this color green.

The denim Guess mules

And yet
another one of the Steve Madden creations and beige open toed sued wedge to
endure the fall weather transformation. It also has an instep strap to pay
tribute to the Mary Jane style.

As a teaser, the last shoe I have opbtained in this recent excursion is going to be included with all of the animal print shoes I have in my collections. I have only one on m blog at this point and I will feel it important to repost a picture of.

Please stay tuned for this next post as I hope it will be exciting for everyone.

Comments are most certainly welcome.

I want to
take a moment and offer a special thanks to all those that have been offering
very supportive feedback.

To those
that have visited my site; whether you chose to follow me, like, rate or leave
a comment I appreciate it immensely.

I cannot put
into words how much I am grateful to all of you. So before I go crazy trying to
write something heartfelt and go overboard with attempting to give thanks I
will just say it like so;

THANK YOU!!!

THANK YOU!!!

 THANK YOU!!!

;) ;) ;) ;)

Traveling Shoe Buyer

To touch on
the title, we are all familiar with the “Traveling Shoe salesman”. I cannot
even imagine, going door to door, attempting to sell shoes to anyone. Just
seems a little in-efficient. But I guess in the past, it was a job and there
were people willing to do it. I think the “traveling shoe buyer” would
be the better job to have. ;)

I was
recently in Ohio for a business trip. I was excited to go to Ohio as it is the
location of the Corporate headquarters for DSW. I felt there is not a place
that should be better than the location of the headquarters for the
representation of the business. As I did find some things to be different there
was nothing to vast. It was still a great time looking at things in new places.
I was able to get around to three DSW stores in the area I was staying at.

I found many
shoes I would have liked to have but as usual, not in my size. I came across
these Jessica Simpson’s that were calling out to me. I recognized them but
could not put my finger on it. I thought “I have a certificate that will
bring the price to about half, so why not..?” The grey color is
fascinating, mixed with a black heel and platform and a tinge of Maroon accent.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

What a combination. Once I returned to my hotel and tried them on, took
pictures I remembered why these look familiar. I have them in another color. A
beige with white heels and platform and a red accent. I will mention I found a
few other shoes I liked in my size but being the way it is to get through security
at the airport, I did not want to over stretch myself for checking  in bags, so I limited myself to one purchase.
I did however get four more pairs on-line. The advantage for me buying on-line
is the available size 12. It is not as much fun as going to the store, but I
got to do what I got to do for the shoes to fit.

The black
Jessica Simpson wood heel sandals are fantastic. They only had the color black
in my size, but the brown ones were my favorite. I keep my fingers crossed to
see them available.

Bronze Kelly
& Katie cork wedge sandals are very comfortable. I was able to get these in
a size 12. Very well padded insole covered in suede. If I recall, these were
very inexpensive. Thus the reason I got them. Not sure I will be wearing these
out much if at all, but if I can I will. I do like the look and feel, I am just
not sure on how to wear them.

Patent black
open toe sling backs with a wood heel and sole by Dereon have a vibrant gold
chain on the vamp. These were the last ones and I may have mentioned this before,
I love wood heels. If I am being honest with myself, these are a little short
for my foot, but I do not see myself returning them. They are absolutely stunning!!!
I am hoping to go to dinner tonight in them.

Jessica
Simpson Leopard print round toe pumps. What a fantastic fit. I may have some
trouble with my left foot flipping out while walking so a size 11W would be the
best for these rather than the size 12W I have. No matter, I can were socks
with these. if I need to.

I will take
this opportunity to thank all of the people that gave me some answers to my
last post. I am keeping track of the requests and ideas for content as well as
the responses to my suggestions. I will get to them in time. An update on the
video topic; I am working on the best way to make this available. I do not hide
the fact I am a male who likes to wear high heels, but I am shy and this
identification can be harmful to my profession.

Thursdays THRILLING shoe finds!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Well it has been a while since my last post. I am flabbergasted by all of the thoughts coming to mind to write about; review new shoes, review some older shoes, talk about my shoe shopping adventures, heeling adventure, etc… Just too much to figure out.

I will talk a little bit about my shopping today. I am having some siding replaced (Storm damage) and had a need to go to a home supply store for some lumber. I took the opportunity to go to a store next to a DSW. As fate would have it, there is a DSW by 2 different home supply stores. I recently visited one yesterday, so I figured I should check up on the other store. I will mention, this weekend I will take a few minutes to go to another DSW as well… ;) I found several full priced Items I liked, none of them in my size, a few to consider in my size, and about six pair in the clearance section. I decided to take advantage of obtaining another Jessica Simpson style and two new designers I have not tried before. Now, my method for that is one of two ways, I quick try them on in the store to see if they fit well, or I purchase them, try them at home and decide if the fit is acceptable. As I was alone, I was also not feeling to brave, and there were too many people coming and going, I opted for trying them on at home. I disappoint myself sometimes with that…
So as mentioned I picked up 3 new pairs:

1. Jessica Simpson – Black suede round toe pumps

2. Franco Sarto – Brown suede, pleated vamp Peep toes

3. Enzo Angiolini – Black Comb peep toe pumps

Surprisingly the Jessica’s were a little tighter than other round toe Jessica’s I have. I am thinking they will work out fine. The Enzo’s fit pretty well. I like the way they feel and they look loud, but not too loud. Not sure how I will get away with wearing these out, I figure if I get up the nerve to wear some of my white jeans or Capri’s, they might work well with them. The Franco’s I am up in the air about. They are a little tight, and that is not always an issue, but I feel the narrow feel in the toe box may create some discomfort in the edge of the peep toe. The reason I am up in the air about them is they were 80% off. Got them for about nothing!!! So I am thinking these will get used in the house to see if I can make them stretch out a bit to advance their comfort.

I will tell you about one other purchase I made a couple days ago. I found a pair of Black Coach logo sneakers in my size. This is not a find I come across often. Usually the size 11 is gone when they hit the shelf. So, as any shoe person would do, I got them!!! I will be wearing these to a job site next week. I am excited.

I am grateful for all the visitors I have had. I would appreciate some feedback from all of you. Suggestions on content would also be great.

So let’s try some questions. Please answer at least one of them.
1. I have seen many videos on “How to walk in high heels”. All of them are done by women. Would you be interested in my opinion or tips on how to walk in heels?
2. If you were to see a guy out in public wearing heels, would you approach him and complement him on his shoes? (This is assuming you like his footwear.)

Thank you all!!!

Quick Review: My new 8 inch high heels

I purchased some shoes from eBay this last week. They arrived Saturday. Sunday morning I decided to try them on and take some pictures. Things did not go well.
1. I love this style. I have wanted a pair of these for years. I finally got a pair at a price I was comfortable with paying, the shipping was fast and they looked great.
2. I have found several of this heel style with varying uppers and all in the same price range. I am so excited as I may be able to get more.

Here is how things progressed:
Put the shoes on, they felt great. With many heels of this height having a tall platform, they are not the most stable on thick carpet. I was careful & got several pictures taken (You can see all of them by clicking the link at the top of the page). I finished with the pictures, stood up and the left instep strap came right of the shoe. I was devastated. I inspected things more closely to see what the issue may have been. The possibilities are as follows:
1. Manufacture issue
2. Knock off designer
3. Sold to eBay seller who repaired it spit and glue style and resold as new

I am leaning towards the knock off manufacture at the moment, but I have had this brand of shoe fail on me before. I also got them from an eBay seller, so it is possible the manufacturer is of poor quality. I can honestly say I do not think I will get another pair of shoes by this manufacturer again. Pity really, they have some sexy heels.

Final review
Not having enough information on the origin of this particular shoe, I would be wrong in assuming all their products are of low quality. However, as I have had the same failure in two different styles of the same brand of shoe, I would make this statement with confidence; “I will not purchase this brand from eBay sellers in the future. If I am able to examine a product from this manufacturer in person from a store to see the quality first hand and possibly try them on I may consider these two experiences as flukes and the result of me being had by imposters.”

I have to say, the seller is being very good about things. We are working out a solution to this issue. It goes without saying eBay purchases are a gamble and most of the time it goes in the buyers favor. Nobody can expect perfection from a eBay purchase. Most of the time you are purchasing something used or handled from another consumer and you have to expect some flaws. I have been eBaying for nearly a decade and I can say I have only come across a dozen issues of all kinds. So no hard feelings there.
Feel free to look at all of my photos located on webshots.com. I would appreciate any feedback others may have, as well as your opinion on the shoes reviewed today. I also welcome you to share any experiences and photos of your own.

Thank you!
